Villa Pizza — Restaurant in Clifton

Is there a ZERO RATING!?!? We ordered from here for the 1st time tonight, UNFORTUNATELY since it was the only place open so late! Ordered a simple order of garlic knots, 2 Liter Soda, and Cavatelli & Broccoli (but I asked if they could make the sauce with Alfredo Sauce instead of Garlic and Oil.) Very simple and straight forward and actually EXTREMELY NICE man that took the order! When we got the food, it was so DISGUSTING that I had to call back and complain (which I NEVER DO UNLESS I FEEL THE FOOD IS INEDIBLE!) The garlic knots were burnt and stale and the pasta dish was LITERALLY like the Campbell's Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup Mix with Frozen BROCCOLI STEMS and mushy cavatelli! Instead of a creamy white Alfredo Sauce, it was literally GREEN MUSH! THIS is when the problems REALLY STARTED! The "cook" was talking about me while I was on hold (not on mute) in the most disrespectful manner WHILE I AM HEARING WHAT HE IS SAYING! They then put him on the phone to tell me that I AM THE PROBLEM because I asked for a "change" to the dish...that there was NOTHING WRONG WITH THE FOOD that was prepared. He refused to give out his name or settle the issue in any way, besides telling me that he would either hang up on me or I can call back and talk to the manager tomorrow. When I asked for the managers name, he yelled at me and asked me if I was playing games!?! He was the most UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNAPOLOGETIC and unreasonably NASTY "COOK/MANAGER" that I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to! I am EXTREMELY UPSET since I was nothing but respectful, honest and apologetic for even having to make a complaint to begin with, because I do not like to make unreasonable complaints unless there is due cause and the food is inedible! Worst experience EVER! Do yourselves a favor and save your money! He literally said, you're the only person on the phone complaining! Yes! At 1am and with food this horrible I'm surprised if anybody is ever on the phone...

This review is for an order that I placed nearly two moths ago (I've just been too busy to waste my time on these guys). Horrendous service which may have affected the food quality.

I was out and about at a location that didn't server food. So, just before 11PM on a Sunday night, I ordered from this place via the Slice app. A pizza and ziti with sauce (not baked ziti, which will matter in a bit).

Estimated delivery time was 11:45PM. Midnight hits, nothing. So I reach out to slice, who tells me that, according to Villa, the driver is on his way.

12:15, nothing. Contact Slice again. Now, Villa is saying they are still preparing the food. Great.

12:45 AM, and I'm about to leave this location. Everyone that I was offering food to had basically left as well. As I'm telling the rep to cancel my order (which took a while, because they again contacted Villa), the driver pulls up. Pizza was lukewarm, but I was hungry, and it was already 1AM. The driver apologized, stating he had a delivery in Montclair (I was in Garfield). Really? I guess they deliver to who they want to first, rather than FIFO.

By the time I got home, I opened up the pasta to find that most of the exposed ziti was dry/burnt, meaning they either din't cook it fresh an reheated it in an oven, or it was sitting in an oven the whole time I was waiting for my food.

To make things worse, the pizza was slightly burnt, and Villa refused to give any discount/credit. Slice wouldn't, either, because they said they make no money off of their service. Riiiiight...

A couple days later I got a $5 credit from Slice, that expires in a month. I never used it because it would probably take a month for me to get my next order anyway (this isn't the first time I've had an issue with Slice, BTW).

Will never purchase from Villa again. There are other places in Clifton that start with 'Villa' - Villa Roma and Village Pizza come to mind - and they have great food and...

Dishonest people I ordered one pie pizza I stand by the counter to watch he start with the daw I was tier I want set on 1 of the chair I called my son I was talking to my son for maybe 3 minutes the woman said your pizza is ready in my head I was say how fast could that pizza finish I paid they only accept cash I ask for garlic to go the guy said on the table we have some use it I open the box the cheese it’s not melted I get very mad open sparkles some garlic on it I wasn’t happy i’m not the woman anther woman said anything wrong I said the cheese is not melted she call the man the guy said you sow me I said yes but you must put the daw back toke old pizza worm it up and sparkle some cheese on it they didn’t even melt he started praying and saying God God God I said fine I take it I want to home seven minute drive the pizza was very very cold I called 1 women pick up the phone she said oh you the 1 who said it’s not melted I said yes it’s also cold I said I’m not stupid my husband make pizza and I make pizza in my home I never see pizza like this before no wonder you have no customers she hung up on me I called again this time he pick up the phone I said I want to return it I don’t want it he said may God take care of you I work very hard on the pizza you only paid $12 not 1 million so I hang up and I toke 1 slice worm it in micwave it doesn’t tast good I tast sugar...
