Best Mexican food I've tasted yet in Macomb County and on the southern east side. I ate there for the first time recently with my first love, we left satisfied in every area of the dining experience. Normally we'd travel to Mexican Town in Southwest Detroit, where I grew up for a comparable Mexican dinner. The service was delightful and the server suggestive, as it was our first and only, visit; though not my last. I found the quick jaunt down Gratiot Avenue to be a memorable experience, having been recommended by two different friends in town, both of good taste and experience dining out often. There within we found a friendly and personable staff, along with a welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience was desirable and admirable for late night dining out on the town. During our visit a chef from the establishment returned with the bacon taco award, and, as I inquired about the excited commotion coming from the staff that mild, spring night, we we're informed of the food fest award. The staff was kind and pleasant enough to let us in on the uproar. My guest and I, shared the trio fajita dinner, we both agreed the server was correct there was enough food to share that particular meal. In fact on a hungry night in, I just might order the same meal for pickup, again, twas' that good. We both agreed the meal was satisfying and tasty; quite the compliment from a native Detroiter of Mexican heritage and lineage. If you enjoy Mexican food, dare I say cuisine? I recommend visiting if you haven't yet been; And begin trying any of the many colorful dishes. I myself can't wait to taste something new from the menu, particularly those award winning bacon tacos, and who doesn't love: bacon or tacos? Genius, I say, here ye, here ye! Sincerely, José V; A past or current resident of all five major metro Detroit counties. Thanks for providing us with a very delightful and terrific dining experience. I'll be back for seconds as soon as I...
Read moreTo start our waitress was rude from the time we were seated. My best friend ordered the soup and I ordered the salad only to find your options of dressing are ranch or Italian. If youre going to serve a salad at least have more than two dressings ! When the soup and salad came our waitress literally threw it on the table and walked away. I never got a refill on my pop either due to her ignoring us. She never came back to see how things were or I would have told her I have eaten Mexican food made with hormel chili that had more flavor than the wet burrito did. And my friends tacos were bland as well. The rice tasted like boxed Mexican rice and had barely any flavor. Beans were old el paso or cheap dollar store beans with and this isn't an exaggeration but 3 shreds of cheese on top. My daughters Mexican pizza was a nasty disaster I can only describe as something out of kitchen nightmares. When our waitress FINALLY came back it was only to bring the check and then she asked how it was. When I told her what I thought she didn't offer to take it off the bill which would have been nice seeing that I ate less than half of anything on that plate. Or at least she could have asked if I wanted something different. Nope. 40$ bill and a horrible time and bland food ( fyi taco bell has more flavor than this place) guarantee we will never be back. I think the rave reviews were written by drunks who will eat anything or family and friends...

The owner was there, he wasn't unfriendly but the vibe was off. Eating and displaying food from Pizza Hut and Tim Hortons at the very front booth during lunch on a Saturday, was particularly odd owner behavior to witness.
The most positive part of our experience was that our waitress and the hostess were friendly.
The salsa tasted as though someone bought the wrong canned tomatoes, and that wrong can was Italian spiced tomatoes. It was like loose spaghetti sauce with cilantro on top.
The Mexican pizza was meh, very bland and a $12 price point seems excessive. The guaco tacos were okay, premade guacamole and the chicken lacked seasoning. The tamales were a huge disappointment, just lacking flavor and spice. However, nothing was as disappointing as the rice and beans, over cooked bloated rice with no flavor and flavorless beans. We've never tossed leftovers before, unfortunately today ended that streak.
I'm not sure what drives people to return, but what a waste of time and money after a long hard work week. I don't write this review to bash, rather to offer insight and honest feedback. The owner did tell us to have a good day, he didn't not ask us how everything was like most owners do when they are working their business. He seems to use a lackadaisical approach...
