Let me start off by saying, I have been a longtime customer of 15 years ordering for myself and my family. After last night I donāt think I want to order from Kowloon anymore. I work in the area so when Iām craving Chinese food I always come here and then drive home all the way to 26 mile rd. Last night that was exactly what I was trying to do when I called, I was trying to ask the gentleman on the phone what was in two of their dishes because they do not have descriptions anywhere on their menu and I wanted to try something different but I do not eat anything with mushrooms in it, all he had to do was tell me what was in these two dishes so I could place my order. Instead, he responded with āwhy donāt you call back later, Iām busyā which had ended our phone call and honestly made me pretty upset. I decided to wait until today to write this review because I did not want to add any mixed emotions being I was already having a really rough day yesterday when this had happened. I was very respectful as always over the phone and I have never been rude or disrespectful to these employees or owners to even remotely deserve this response. Being I work in the same field (food service) I donāt and canāt understand why an employee would rush a paying customer, long time customer at that off of the phone or cut them off. I am a very disappointed customer. Hopefully that employee will change his attitude towards current and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Guy was very Rude and prejudice. I guess my appearance (African American Woman) was not his preference. As I walked in there were two Caucasian men and a greeted everyone with a hello as they stared. I asked the guy for a menu as I wanted to review to choose my order. This isnāt a typical Chinese carry out as they usually have food prepared in the window. When I was ready, I waited for him to walk up to the counter. He asked if I was ready as I agreed, and started listing my order, in the middle of my order he walked away and then begin talking on the phone. I asked the guy if he noticed me speaking and he said he didnāt know I was talking to him. I was confused as he was the only person who I saw behind the counter. Then he took my order and requested my payment, and placed my change on the counter instead of in my hand, as I did to him. I noticed the other customers (White) paid after their order was bagged. Then a Caucasian lady entered and she looked her in her eyes, told her how long the wait would be, and took gave her food and her changed in her hand. I asked the guy was everything ok with me or was he having a bad day, as I could tell the chemistry was very different with me then others. I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far one of the worst experiences from a Chinese food restaurant. The breading was flat out stale covering the chicken jerky I couldn't even chew and my gf ate half of hers and got sick almost immediately. We took turns making trips to the bathroom half the night and into the next day. We took the food back the next day because they were closed already and the employee gave IMMEDIATE attitude and was so rude it was all I could do to keep my cool. He said he wouldn't refund all of it because half the lo mein was gone AND THEN ended up charging an EXTRA 13 DOLLARS to the bill. I have talked to several people in the area and they said they get the same issues. He said the money takes 2-3 days to show up. Definitely will never order from there again and will be back up there if the money doesn't get refunded 10/10 do...
