I happened upon this place last night googling food near me. I honestly clicked on it because I thought it might be a Japanese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised.
I wasn't familiar with some of the foods they have, understandably, it's not your typical taco/burrito offerings. I ended up looking them up on door dash to see some pictures.
Everything looked amazing. I ended up going with the Birria Ramen, Dorilotes, and the Churro Sundae.
One thing I will say, this place is not for people with a weak palette. That birria ramen is just pure flavor. It will punch you in the face with how good it is. Make sure you mix it well, because all of that beautiful birria meat is down at the bottom.
The Dorilotes followed suit. Granted, this is a pretty simple looking dish, but it's executed really well. The perfect amount of tajin, that you'll forget it's there, and then you hit a really sour pocket. It definitely hits.
Lastly, the Churro Sundae. They asked me if I wanted toppings when I ordered it, I'm not great with on the spot questions, so I just got it plain. (They do have a plethora of toppings.) The ice cream alone, phenomenal, but the strawberry ice cream stood out the most. It was super rich, explosively tart, and very refreshing. The churros were great, coated generously with cinnamon and sugar. I believe they also had a cinnamon/sugar filling as well (Honestly, I'm not super experienced with churros. I don't believe any of the ones I've had previously had any kind of filling, so I don't know if that's supposed to be standard or their take on it.)
All in all, I think this is an amazing spot to have in our community. Would I recommend this place? Yes, 100 percent, with the warning that their flavors are potent.
I'll be returning soon to try more stuff off...
Read moreThe picture of the taco on the menu isn’t what you get… instead you get a taco with cilantro and onions…. I ordered 12 tacos and they asked me what I wanted on my tacos as they were making them… this was a in person order.. I asked for lettuce, cheese and tomato.. as that what’s pictured on the menu… they said they don’t have tomato just pico.. ok I’ll take pico… that’s an extra charge… they then explain that the tacos come with onions and cilantro… I go and show them the picture from the menu and they giggle and tell me those are special ordered.. I wouldn’t be getting that kind of tortilla in the picture either because they are special ordered… so why is it pictured on the menu as your taco??? If that’s not what you get when you order…
Update.
Tacos weren’t what I ordered or wanted they were supper dry and all you taste is onion… Tamales have an obnoxious amount of masa (the corn breading) and the smallest amount of chicken filling.. Corn bowl was best thing from the order..
I had high hopes for this place based on some of the reviews and menu.. but I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreIf you like Mexican dessert or tacos, I would recommend visiting Michi Michi.
It's a unique type of Mexican desserts that you usually wouldn't find in this area. You would find some of these desserts in Mexico City, Southwest Detroit, or even the Southwest part of the United States. I love what they have to offer.
For dessert, I got their fresh juices. They were refreshing! I tried the watermelon and the orange drink (I forget which fruit it was). They have a variety of flavors (see the photos).
I also tried the frozen chocolate covered banana. What I love is that everything is home made. Yes, even their ice cream is home made!
For lunch, I enjoyed their tacos, street corn, and beans (they don't have rice). I tried the Chicken, Asada, and Birra tacos.
I would stop by in this place. It's a little smaller, and it's a "fast casual" restaurant where you order first then sit down.
Very good customer service too. Really...
