Restaurant Review: Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken
If you’re in the mood for hearty comfort food, Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken is a must-try destination. Known for its flavorful fried chicken and homestyle sides, this restaurant truly delivers on quality and taste.
Menu Highlights: Fried Chicken
I began with the signature Fried Chicken, which is the star of the menu. The chicken comes in various pieces, and I opted for the mixed bucket. Each piece was expertly fried to a perfect golden brown with a crispy coating that had just the right amount of seasoning. The meat was juicy and tender, illustrating why Lee's has garnered such a loyal following over the years.
Sides: Mashed Potatoes and Cole Slaw
To accompany the chicken, I chose the classic sides of Mashed Potatoes and Cole Slaw. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery, served with a generous helping of savory gravy that complemented the chicken beautifully. The cole slaw offered a refreshing crunch, balancing out the richness of the fried chicken.
Biscuits: A Must-Have
One surprise highlight was the homemade biscuits. Fluffy and warm, they practically melted in my mouth. Paired with a touch of honey or butter, they made the perfect accompaniment to my meal.
Atmosphere and Service
The atmosphere at Lee's is casual and welcoming, with a friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff was attentive and eager to assist, ensuring our experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Overall Impression
Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken lives up to its reputation with its delicious offerings and comforting atmosphere. Whether you’re craving fried chicken, hearty sides, or a warm biscuit, this place has you covered. It's an excellent spot for family meals or a quick bite, and I can’t wait to return for another taste of their famous chicken.

Read moreDrive thru or dine in. There are plenty of parking spots for dining in. The dining room is not very inviting with hard, cheap chairs and tables. No extra napkins or condiments available on the floor.
The service was excellent.
The food was priced right but certainly not worth running back to. While the chicken was juicy and plentiful the breading lacked any flavor. I ordered 'baked beans' they were clearly pork 'n beans straight from the can. The green beans and corn were also straight out of a can. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious with plenty of flavor. The biscuits were also well done and tasty. The bun on my chicken sandwich was not soft and didn't have any flavor to it...think plain ol' day old white bread.
The prices are good, the service is excellent, the store is open till 10pm but I've tried much better chicken and side dishes at other chicken...
Read moreMy family and i tried this place three times. The first time time we had no issues the food was absolutely delicious. The second time we came back and after ten minutes of eating the food i stared to feel sick. My husband and kids didn’t have any problems so I coughed it up to my body not being used to greasy food. Today my husband wanted fried chicken for valentine’s day and i wanted to give this place another shot.. Boy was this a big mistake !!! My husband and i got so sick after eating the food. My husband had extreme cramping, vomiting and diarrhea all night long. And my symptoms were just the same. I hate to give this kind of review because i was so happy that i found a decent fired chicken restaurant close by.. i would highly recommend Who ever is in charge of this restaurant to REALLY LOOK INTO THE COOKING OIL or the food itself because it’s making...
