I sent this review to Popeye's corporate and gave them 5 days to respond and they did not so now I am sharing my experience publicly. You decide if you want to dine here. Dear Guest Services, I had to shorten the dialog because I exceeded the character limit.
I am sending you this email because I want you to know about the worst manager experience I have ever had at any restaurant. I get that you are short handed but if that is the kind of service and attitude you are delivering from a manager, you might as well lock the doors and walk away. I will never be back. I placed my order for 3 classic sandwiches with extra pickle. I then waited 12 minutes for my order to be completed. When I got home my wife opened the bag to find this as one of the three sandwiches. I moved the pickle over for the picture, but you can see the chicken covers half of the bun. I went back to the store. I told the cashier I needed to see a manager. I then watched as the team worked with no urgency to get any orders out. I had no idea who the manager was because no one would acknowledge me, so after standing there for about 3 minutes, I again asked the cashier for a manager saying it loud enough because I wanted the people in the back to hear me. She walked over to a guy working the carryout window and he blurted out "He can wait." He purposely said it loud enough so I could hear him. I sat there for another 5-7 minutes while he waited on 3 more customers. I repeated I need to see a manager. A woman in the back, who the cashier told me is also a manager shouted out "If he is a dasher, throw him out of the store." I could not believe what I had heard. The male manager finally made his way over and asked, "What's your problem can't I see he is busy taking care of customers?" I told him I'm a customer too and that I already waited 15 minutes, and this is what you served me and I reached in the bag to show him the sandwich his team had served. I proceeded to tell him I drove from 13 and Schoenherr to his store and had to drive back- He then cut me off and said "I don't want to hear all that, just tell me you are unhappy with your sandwich." I looked at him and opened it up and showed him it was half a sandwich and asked "Would you be happy spending $5 for half a piece of chicken?" Again he interrupted me and said "Don't tell me it's half a sandwich, it's a SMALL piece of chicken." At this point I was blown away and he asked me why I had an attitude. I explained to him that he should be ashamed of his food, his service and his attitude as a manager. He said "What do you know about being a manager?" My response was that I was in the restaurant business as an owner for 9 years and a GM for over 30 years and when an unhappy customer enters the building with a bag of food you take care of them. His response was that "If I want a new sandwich, I'll make it but I don't know what I'm talking about and he was done with me" and walked in the back. At that point, I should have just given him everything back and demanded a refund and wish I would have, but I let it play out as he did nothing and ignored me. I then showed my ½ sandwich to another customer standing at the register and asked him if he would be happy if he just waited 15 minutes to get that as his sandwich and the manager blurted out from the back to quit talking to his customers cause he is making me a new...
Read moreI love Popeyes chicken sandwiches, and I love their chicken. But this location has consistently had the worst service probably of any Fast food place I’ve ever been to. I haven’t been there in a while because when I’m craving it I Think about all the other times I’ve been there and how consistently rude and slow the service has been. So maybe In the past few months, it’s changed, but I wouldn’t know because I only get It when I’m near the Utica Road location now. The Utica Road location is always fast and the staff there is always nice. But at this one, I’ve had honey packets thrown at me, I’ve had people roll their eyes at me, I’ve had Service refused after I’ve sat in the drive-through line for 20 minutes For no reason before I even got a chance to order anything or even say a word to them. I work in the food service industry, so I am always very, very pleasant and gracious. I talk to people respectfully I always say please and thank you and I always treat the staff like I would like to Be treated. I am a waitress and I used to work in fast food, and I know that customers can be very rude. So I know that it’s not me. And I never experienced the level of just absolute clear distain that the staff here has for their customers. It always takes extremely long to get the food, no matter how many people are in line, And the odds of getting your dips for your chicken or honey packets with your biscuits without asking multiple times Is one out of five. Again, I’m not talking about whatever the current staff is because I stopped going there, but I thought I’d put my two cents in because I would really like to come back to Popeyes And I’m hoping that leaving a review will help change the situation at this location. Popeyes is my favorite chicken place and this one is less than five minutes from my house, but I literally choose not to Eat there simply because I don’t feel like dealing with the service at this Popeyes because it’s so bad. If I hadn’t gone to other locations, I would think that this is just how Popeyes was, but it’s not. It’s...
Read moreHonestly I’m so disgusted with the way the assistant manager Fran (lady with the red hair read other reviews about her) handled HER CREW NOT BEING TRAINED PROPERLY. I waited 20 min in the drive through and went in because they forgot my Mac and cheese so I came in and FRAN, said you didn’t get your Mac and cheese and I said no I didn’t and she said okay well I can’t take that food back and gives me my Mac and cheese. I get home to open my food and realize I’m given the completely wrong order. I’m given the order that was in front of me which was $8 and mine was $17.85 to be exact. I take pictures of my food bc being in the food industry and managing restaraunts I know that you can’t take back food that’s already been served. She then tried to make me look crazy and said “you talked to me” I said yes about my max and cheese showed her pictures of the order then tells me I have to go back and get the food. So I go back to get it (I don’t think she thought I would) when I come back to the store she’s nowhere to be found, another respectful gentleman takes care of my order and says keep the wrong order FRAN comes out adamant on keeping the order and said she’d “dispose” of it but it was literally on the line she didn’t throw it away. So if anyone ordered a two piece wing combo and a one piece wing combo your foods old and been in someone else’s home. She also said it was the 8th order messed up that night, also after going back twice my order was still wrong. 🤦🏻♀️ so safe to say I’ll be calling the health department bc food should immediately be thrown out if it’s been served and the way she was pressuring to take it was weird. Your staff sucks cus you don’t know how to train them. 🤷🏻♀️ shout out to the other guy though that man knows...
