I’ve been on a recent hunt for new chicken sandwiches, and I just so happen to run across “LA Hot Chicken” through my google searching. I was warmly welcomed by the cashier upon entering. I ordered two chicken sandwiches with two orders of the 6-piece bone in sweet n spicy wings for my mother and myself. For the spice levels I got the “Mild” for one sandwich which was the second lowest spice level and “Hot” for the other which was the second highest spice level. I’d like to quickly to state that I am a person that loves good spicy/hot food and I like to test my might to see if the spice/heat levels are really true to what it says they are at different food establishments. I received the food and made my way home. I tried the sweet and spicy chicken wings first and I must say…they were absolutely delicious!!! It was like the perfect balance of sweet and spicy in each bite that you could get down to the bone. They were so good that I didn’t even want to use any dipping sauce like I normally do like ranch or something. I had the “Hot” chicken sandwich. It had a very juicy bite with a nice crunch and the chicken itself was seasoned nicely. The bun was soft and toasted just right. I did like the slaw that was on it but it would have been nice if it was a little more rich and creamier. Pickles were crisp with each bite. Now for the sauce!!! OOhoohoohohohoh!!! The “Hot” LA sauce was pretty tasty, however after about 6 minutes the heat levels kicked in…… and THAT STUFF WAS HOT!!!!! Like..whoo s**t…oooo baby.…like so hot that I was in the air doing kens shinryuken from street fighter. They were not bulls****n with the heat levels which is good!!! But I will humbly say the spice on my sandwich was too powerful for me and I would definitely go lower next time LOL!! I tried my mom’s sandwich with the mild sauce and oh my goodness…..I’ve had quite a few “mild” sauces in my time, and I must say that this had to be one of the BEST tasting mild sauces that I’ve had in a LONG time. I was so flavorful and savory and the kick to it was perfect. Like I highly recommend the mild sauce for the chicken sandwich! Overall, my experience at LA Hot Chicken was a great one. The two people that were working there were very kind and treated me well. The only downside to me is the food being pretty pricy. All together for two chicken sandwiches and two of the 6-piece wings was 50 bucks. And with so much chicken sandwich/wings competition out here it would be very hard to want to drop that much to feed 2 people every time. The food is really good! I would recommend going here from time to time if you have some extra cash on hand and want some nicely flavored food!! But if you’re on a budget you would probably want to only go there for yourself lol. LA Hot Chicken gets a 4 out of 5 from me! :) DevilChipp

After watching a video reviewing a fairly new restaurant, just down the road, I was eager to try it.  It was a smart decision! I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, with medium heat (options are from No Heat to Really Hot.) Medium was just right for me (tingle on the tongue and lip area), which was offset by a creamy coleslaw and pickle slices, on a toasted tasty bun. I also appreciated that the chicken wasn't those huge slices that are clunky and dry to bite into.  I really enjoyed. The thing I bought were the half dozen Chicken Dumplings. These also were terrific (perfect crunch factor and soft mixture inside.) Luckily, I bought 2 orders of those, so I'll have more to eat with the second half of the sandwich. The space is big. There were a couple of arcade games, and lots of tables. Good menu, that allows for decent choices.  The No Heat/Heat options make your meal customizable. As I looked around, I kept thinking the layout and menu would make LA Hot a great place for college students or family/friend groups to gather. Canned Pop is available. Btw, I don't like Corn dogs, but the Mozz Corn Dog eaten on the video has me soooooo tempted. Definitely, next visit! A Korean family owns Hot C, with son Issac the front man. Super nice, helpful. Definitely , worth trying out this unique restaurant. I enjoyed it a lot. I did a carry-out .

I was excited when I discovered L.A. Hot Chicken was opening and was in my neighborhood. I have been looking for a restaurant that has a good spicy chicken sandwich and after browsing their menu in Yelp and seeing the photos of their food I knew this was the place to try! When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile and a “welcome to L.A. Hot Chicken!” I placed my order and had a great conversation with Sue and learned a lot about the restaurant, their family and the food. The chicken is marinated 24 hours and made special for each order which makes it tender and juicy, not dry at all. It’s seasoned nicely and every bite is deliciously flavorful. The coleslaw is made fresh and I was a bit concerned about having slaw on my sandwich, but I wanted to try it how it was intended to be…no regrets! I got the mild spicy chicken sandwich because I heard the medium was pretty hot so I wanted to start out with caution. After digging in I definitely could have got the medium, because the mild is exactly as expected…just a little bit of heat, but not too much. Opening the carry out box reveals a delicious looking sandwich. The breading is crispy and not “bready” or soggy at all. Every bite is a crisp bite. The bun is soft and slightly sweet and really compliments the ingredients. Surprisingly, I loved the coleslaw…I hate coleslaw, but was really impressed with the seasoning and flavor…it wasn’t super wet, but light and crisp…fresh tasting. I even found myself scooping the slaw that fell in to the box to not let any go to waste. The pickle is crisp and completes the package. The sandwich was delicious start to finish, but I will try the medium spice next time 😋 The fries are frozen, but still pretty good none the less not cheap tasting. They were crispy and seasoned well…my dogs approved because they loooove French fries! LOL my family and I look forward to our next meal and highly recommend trying L.A....

This was my third visit to this restaurant. I'm a bit of a spicy food fan so I wanted to try the XF Fire sauce on the chicken sandwich. My first 2 visits were for the medium and fire, both of which I would recommend. For this visit I brought my wife with me, she however, is not a fan of spicy food so she got the no spice chicken tenders and an order of onion rings. The onion ring were battered, hot and delicious.

For my order the chicken sandwich was just as good as my 2 other visits, but the XF fire sauce was next level. It was very spicy, exactly what I would expected. This sauce is not for the faint of heart. Going forward my go-to will probably be the medium, which has a kick, but won't make you tear up. The owner Sue is very nice and was concerned how I was handling the heat. She told me only about 10 people have ordered XF fire since they've been opened.

For my wife's order, as I mentioned earlier, she's not good with heat. She said the tenders were to spicy for her. So I told the owner's son, a very nice guy by the way. He said it must be the spices in the batter. He insisted on making my wife a new batch plain breaded chicken tenders just for her, and he even let us keep the extra tenders for later. The tenders were just as hot and delicious as my sandwich.

Just be aware that everything is cooked to order. You will have to wait at least 10 minutes, Even if you are the only one there. But the food with come out hot and fresh.

These are great people that make quality product. I will definitely continue to be a patron of this great local small business. The food and service are both excellent. I would give it 10...
