The worst service I've had at a restaurant in a long time... and I eat out a lot.
We went in to eat breakfast this morning. It's a Monday morning and the place wasn't busy at all when we came in. A waitress came to our table and asked us if we were ready very fast, which was great, but we weren't ready. So, we told her we needed a few minutes. We weren't in a hurry at all, so when she came back the second time we still weren't ready. By the third time she came by, we had looked over the menu and made our decision. We ordered and the food was out to us with 7- 10 minutes. They came by right after to check on us and things were good. That's where the great experience stopped. We didn't see another waitress for the entirety of the time we spent eating. I needed more coffee about 10 minutes in and wasn't asked by a single waitress (there were 3) until ours was dropping off our bill, even though i had set my cup on the edge of the table... you know... the customary sign for "I really need some more coffee in my life." When she dropped the bill I asked for coffee and she asked if everything was ok. I mentioned that we hadn't seen anyone in the 20 minutes that we had been eating. She responded by telling me that we had taken 3 stops to order and she was "busy." (As if I had used up my alloted table stops and was no longer -allowed- service.) She then brushed it off and walked away.
Ive been serving tables for 13 years and I would -never- treat a guest the way she did me. I'm normally a very large tipper... this one got nothing from me.
The food was ok. The coffee was average. The service was awful. I don't plan on going back. Ever.
I think the worst part for me was that from what I could tell, this awful waitress was the head waitress in charge. Shame on her. You don't blame your guest for anything if you expect to make money at your place...
Read moreAll of the reviews are true! We were looking for a good breakfast spot on a early Sunday morning and looked through the google reviews for some local places. We landed on House of Pancakes and were wowed by the rave reviews. We decided to give it a go. We walked in and we were immediately greeted by a kind but firm older man who treated us very well and shook my hand. We waited less than 5 minutes for a table on a busy Sunday morning. The waitress who helped us was great and very personable. She gave each of us a warm hand on the shoulder which made us feel very welcome. I ordered the Chicken and Cheese Omelette and my wife ordered the Belgian Waffle with FRESH strawberries. We waited about 10 minutes for the food. My omelette was made with 5 eggs with lots of real cheddar cheese, broccoli, mushrooms, and peppers. The chicken was moist and well seasoned and the vegetables were fresh cut. It was amazing. My wife's Belgian waffle was freshly made with fresh cut strawberries, powdered sugar, a scoop of butter and four dollops of whipped cream that seemed like it could have been freshly made as well. She really enjoyed her meal. Enough to forget to give me a taste! The waitresses were keen to refill our drinks quickly and were always walking around with a fresh pot of coffee. All in all, I highly recommend trying House of Pancakes. The food was amazing and fresh and the service made us feel like family. Its a bargain too as our bill with drinks only came...
Read moreAwesome Experience I had there today 11/11/22. I was working on the dumpster enclosure that was contracted thru the company I work for (Modern Fence Co) and I was greeted by the owners son of the House of Pancakes! He came out and we talked about the enclosure and how he would like to have it done. I told him it's all good and I assured him its under my control. He was happy things were looking and supposeably there was a hiccup from higher up at the time, which is all under control now :) He then finished his break and looked at me and said, "come on in, Breakfast is on me." I almost fell over that someone would actually do that in this day in-age, and me almost stunned I did so immediately! When I entered the door I was greeted by very welcoming staff and the one said, "Are you the fence guy, here this spot is reserved for you." I felt like I owned the place honestly, this was too much too take in!!! I was so happy that this restaurant was so kind and full of such nice people, I LOVE IT!!! The Gyros was AMAZING and PEPSI was Super Fresh! I am sorry I had no bills on me and I couldn't leave a tip.I promise that I will continue to order food and recommend this place to anyone that asks about it, with 10 stars across the board!!!! Thank you Everyone, and especially to the owners...
