My fiancé, daughter, and I went to brunch here the other day. We were excited after seeing the rating, reading reviews, and checking out the online menu. We ended up being very disappointed. I wanted to leave an honest review so that people aren’t jaded by the 4.9 rating. The service was incredibly slow. We did go during the busiest time of the day (noon) but that really shouldn’t be an excuse. We were told the wait time would be 35ish min to we seated. The wait was only about 15, so we were pretty happy at that point. We were seated just about 1pm. The dining area is pretty small- maybe 15- 20 tables. They do have a lot of options- the menus are large with a front and back. Normally that would be awesome, but considering there are so many takeout orders they should condense their menu in order to reduce wait time. We ordered about 1:10. It was typical breakfast food: a skillet, an omelette, and a kids pancake/ bacon meal. And then the wait begins. There is a constant flow of take out orders while we wait. Our server at one point comes to tell us that our food will be out soon. So we get excited and expect it out within the next 5 min tops. Nope. Still waiting. At 1:40 ish my fiancé is ready to just walk out. Our server did not fill up our water this whole time either. The restaurant starts slowing down on the inside. At one point the servers were all gathered right up front sort of waiting. Other patrons in the dining room kept looking for their food. The stream of take out orders was constant. Finally my fiancé grabbed a server and told her we were leaving and asked for the check for our orange juices. She grabbed our server, who immediacy came out and told us our food was being plated. She said it’s coming out now. Again, When I hear “now” I think it’s going to be immediate- 2 min tops. But no, it was still at least another 5 min. The server might just need training on what “soon” and “now” means. If she had been honest and let us know we’d be waiting an hour we would have went somewhere else immediately (we had not yet eaten that day). Our food comes out and we eat. My fiancé is missing the avocado on his meal. Stupidly, we ended up paying for it still because of lack of communication between us. At that point we were just ready to leave and never come back. After we get our food, they finally refill our waters. We were eating about 1:15. The server came by an apologized for the wait. Told us it was made from scratch, etc. I get it. But still. Over an hour for breakfast? Some of the vegetables on my skillet were undercooked and hard. My fiancé was missing his avocado. The server could have offered free refills on the (extremely small) size orange juice or something. Overall the breakfast was ok. Overpriced for sure, especially for the small portions. We paid over $50 (with a good tip, it’s not the servers fault-ish). Worst $50 we spent in awhile. It’s crazy to think this is a 4.9 star restaurant. We were expecting far above average. It’s great they have take out options, but they are penalizing the patrons who come in to sit down. We were not the only table waiting way too long for our food either. I’m surprised no one else said anything. They need to prioritize in house patrons over take out. It was ridiculous. We will not be...
Read moreAfter my encounter yesterday, I unfortunately will never be back….I used to love this place but not anymore. The service has gone completely downhill. I came in with a friend and it took almost 20 minutes for us to get an order in. I never got a refill on my water. When the food came out (I always get the same thing) but it was a lot smaller than it usually has been. If I am paying $16 for a pita and $18 for a burger, I expect the size and quality to reflect that. Each meal came with fries. I took a bite of my fries and something didnt taste right, they had a gasoline taste. I took a bite of my friends and her fries tasted completely normal. My friend also noticed that something didnt taste or smell right with my fries. At this point, I had to walk up to the counter to get extra napkins because no one ever came by. When a server (not our original one) brought napkins over, I mentioned it to her. I told her that I wasnt complaining, I just wanted to make them aware. A few moments after, our original server came over and said “we have the best fries in town” “it’s not right that her’s are good and yours don’t taste good”… I just stared at her and told her something wasnt tasting right. She was literally telling me im a liar. I didnt ask for a price off my bill, I just didnt want them anymore and wanted them to be aware, but she didnt like that. As a server myself, I have NEVER argued with a customer or told them they were wrong/a liar. I was so turned off by that. My friend, whom is also a server, and I stared at each other for a minute before she said “did that really just happen”. You don’t have the best fries in town, in fact, I can name about 5 better places “in town” with better fries that don’t taste like gasoline. After that encounter, I will never be back. I NEVER tip bad, but after that, your behavior immediately reflected on your tip. I usually always throw a $20 bill down, especially there given it’s a small place. AND only 1 refill on a pop that’s $3.50?! be so real right now and come back down to reality. pop doesnt cost that much. Again, I work in a restaurant, I know the cost of stuff. absolutely one of the worst and most ridiculous experiences that I have had. Do better! Will...
Read moreI have really reviewed only a few things but we felt we def wanted to put a review out for this place. We just tried it for the first time and all I can say is WOW!!! Tanya was our server and as someone who's been in the hospitality business for over 20 years, I tend to be critical about service and she blew me away!! She explained how it was family run and how they aren't open on Sundays because it's family day which is wonderful! We decided to get a few different things to try.. the pancake tacos with chorizo, the triple skillet that has 3 meats, cheese, onions, peppers, and eggs on top done whichever way you want, the "fallfetti" pancakes(which Tanya explained are the same as the funfetti ones just with the little fall colored leaves sprinkles) and as a last minute idea, the biscuits and gravy. Let me just say the food was AMAZING.. not one thing was just ok or good, it was some of the best food we've ever had seriously. I am not a big fan of biscuits and gravy but I couldn't stop taking "just one more little bite". They had a kick to them which was unexpected, but not unwelcomed! The biscuits were sooo soft they almost melted in your mouth. The pancakes were fluffy and light and the skillet had so much meat in it I couldn't believe it. Every dish that came out of that kitchen looked perfectly done and there were mostly empty dishes that were taken back to the kitchen. The entire staff was friendly and attentive and even though it took a little bit for the food to come as they were busy with carry out and dine in, it was well worth the wait. We'll definitely be back to see Tanya and...
