El Camino Real — Restaurant in Clinton

Maybe we just went there on an off day? There seemed to be a very in important soccer game on TV. We went in carrying an 8 month old, the host said "how many?" we joked "2 1/2". He showed us to a booth and never even asked about a high chair. So we stood there a few seconds waiting to see if he went to get one. He never came back so I went to get one myself. There were about 10 employees standing around watching the soccer game on a TV hanging right over our booth. No one offered to get a high chair. Then they brought our chips and salsa, they were good. Next a waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink, we both ordered cokes. He immediately went to get our drinks and brought us back waters and left. I'm turning around, looking at all the staff standing around to tell someone our drink order is wrong. They are all too busy watching soccer. Finally I yelled at one of them to get their attention, then they brought our cokes and he took our food order. The food was mediocre, nothing special. Amazing food, pleasant dining experience, and very helpful and friendly staff!

The price is very nice, around 10-ish dollars per meal and normally they give you enough that you'll need a Togo box for later. The drink price is a little higher than I'm used to, 2.50~ for soft drinks, but still not half bad at all. Food is delicious, just be sure to wait a second before eating to let it cool because it will burn your mouth if you're not careful! 😅 Although that just means it's very fresh!

Ordered a to go dish for my grandmother and they packaged the food very nicely, after a half hour drive it was still about as hot as when we got it so you don't have to worry about your food getting cold!

11/10 will definitely visit again, probably gonna slip into a food coma...

The food is good. However, I will not be going back. There is a waiter that has an issue with charging off menu prices. Three times I have been charged a different amount than what I was told or that the menu shows. The last time I was in there another patron had the same problem. They were charged double and complained and still were charged more than what the special board showed. Then it was my wife's turn to place the order. We read the menu placed the order and it was $4.00 more. When he was confronted he said, "I'm not the manager and the manager is not here what are you going to do about it." I told him to refund my money and we won't be back. Then he tried to give me less money than I had just handed him. I will never...
