El Poko Loko — Restaurant in Clinton

Overview: While driving through Western Oklahoma, I decided to stop at this restaurant in Clinton based on its excellent reviews and ratings. It certainly lived up to the hype.

Ambiance: The place was bustling with locals, which is always a good sign. However, the dining room is quite small, and the ambiance could be improved.

Service: The service was very friendly and welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home and added to the overall positive experience.

Food: The food was delicious, with a unique New Mexican flair to the TexMex and authentic Mexican dishes. We ordered several items à la carte to sample a variety of offerings. Notably, they offer free chips, salsa, and queso, which is a lovely touch and typical of Oklahoma.

Pricing: Prices were very reasonable and affordable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service provided.

Conclusion: Despite the small dining room and modest ambiance, the overall experience was fantastic. I will definitely make an intentional stop here every time I drive through Western Oklahoma.

Good good food, but they AlWAYS mess up my order or my mothers..either they know its us or they just rush making the meals? Ordered 2 breakfast burritos papas with chorizo asked if they could put beans they charged me for both, did not have beans,THEN! After my kiddos were already eating I called told them there were no beans in it..put on hold..then. they say if I could bring it back so they could put the beans in it..yo really?..you dont pay for my gas to go back and forth..and I absolutely do not like having to go back around to any restaurant because of a mess up order that THEY didn't pay attention to..do not order the chorizo for kids it's too spicy!!!! Make sure you check your meals before leaving!! That's were I messed up!! Check for your sides like sour cream etc. Because they will forget...

Updated February 26 -2021 ...Went back again after all that mess from last time I gotta said I was surprised I been stopping by frequently and they had hire someone with manners and really customer service skills the waiter Mario goes up and beyond to make the experience worth it the most change the cooks as well because the food was way more homey then last time

Food was good but it does require better servers they take forever to bring drink refills and they take your cup and forget they left you with out drink ,went back at twice at week for last month and my experience dining in here went from ok to definitely bad depends on who is cooking or who is serving you , you can tell by the presentation

Definitely needs the owners to take in charge of this place...
