Torn between3and 4 stars here I was skeptical about their online ordering system - it contains some funny typos and grammatical errors, but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the sweet and sour lunch special, clicking in the option for white rice, crab Rangoon, and soup - and wrote in a note requesting hot and sour soup for the soup option. Everything was hot, ready, and as-ordered when I arrived no more than 20 minutes later. Perhaps this is a work-around for anyone complaining about confusion; I personally found the woman working there very polite and pleasant - certainly didn't find any children working there. As for the food - it was alright... The portions were very large for the price. 7 dollars even, with tax - there were two crab Rangoon, a full dozen lightly battered and fried pieces of chicken on a heaping portion of white rice, and a 12 oz bowl (I looked up the product number on the container to check exactly how much there was) of soup - full to the brim. They even included a full bag of those fried crackery strips for the soup and a fortune cookie. I am stuffed. The crab Rangoon were decent. Nice and crispy. Not terribly large or stuffed, but no complaints. The chicken was pretty good. Also crispy, right amount of batter. I like that they packed the sauce on the side (another large portion - a full 1/2 quart) so the chicken didn't get soggy. The sauce itself seemed somewhat cheap and generic. The soup was probably my favorite part, though still not quite right. Very hearty - plenty of thinly stripped veggies, mushrooms, chunks of tofu. That was great, but the broth didn't quite have it. I saw some spicy red pepper flakes, which gave it a mild heat, but it lacked the tangy sour taste of my favorite H&S soups. OVERALL: A reasonably priced, very large helping of passable American takeout...
Read moreI’m not from Clinton, I stopped in for the first time ever. Dirty fish tank in restaurant which turned me off from the start. A young girl, maybe 12 had no manners. “What do you want?” I almost walked out because already a bad impression but now I waa craving Chinese food. She comes back with the food I reluctantly ordered and hands it to me and said “here’s your food” I say “thank you so much” with a big smile and she turned away!!! Finally after I looked her in the eye and said. Thank you again she told me to have a nice day. I’m a big fan of manners, I could have gone any restaurant on that street but gave them my money. The food not great, not much filling in crab ragoons, chicken wings are fried and grease they used tastes old. I would not go there again. It was empty when I went, on a day most...
Read moreNew China delivers! I'm not kidding. For $10.35 you can actually feed 2 and maybe even a 3rd. I'm really fussy and I have to say, I give this place 5 stars for a local, quality, on-time eating experience when you just want to stay home......everything was freshly prepared - the vegetables and Tofu were perfectly cooked and the right size, variety and amount. The sauce was really good too. You get a lot so may want to share with your friends or spouse/kids. The food was delivered in ......not more than 15 minutes or so. I don't know how they pulled it together so fast but, you know, you've got to hand it to them. By the way, their service is consistent. If you don't want to eat out, have them deliver right to your door and you will be...
