Couldn't take a picture because my family made the pizza evaporate as they inhaled it too quickly. š We happened upon this place probably not the way most people do. We were just walking around Clinton (which we love, but it's nearly an hour from where we live), found an alley which turned out to be some apartment complex parking lot. Saw a "Pizza" flag on the other side of the fence. Walked around the fence, essentially coming in the back door, just following our noses, because it smelled so good we were getting hungry trying to figure out what this place was. And sure enough, ordered just one pie, just for a taste, and what a taste it was! I think Portnoy would give this place a very high score. I usually focus on the sauce first, which is astounding, but the crust! Oh my! I could not get over the crust on this pie (Marguerita). The sauce was delicate, cheese (fresh mozz) and fresh basil were perfectly balanced. Not even a tiny part of any slice was without robust flavor. Pricey if you've never experienced Napolitano pizza before (I compared it to pizza from Milano or Pisa as well), but exactly what you'd expect in Italy! This is not Americanized pizza. Repeat. I told the guy who was serving that it definitely doesn't taste like cheese and definitely tastes like raw dough and he kept pushing back saying it's a thick layer of cheese. It was clear this guy wasn't going to try to make things right. Will never return here again. Really awful service and experience overall.
EDIT: in response to the owner, nobody offered to make me a new one. if they had I would have taken it and I wouldn't be here today taking the time to write a 1 star review. That's total and absolute nonsense. He made no attempts to make it right, and instead continued to insist what the owner is now insisting and walked off. I don't care what oven temp you had. It's clearly possible when you have a thick layer of raw dough that occupies the entire bottom of a margarita pizza. I even pulled at it to show him. I ordered it through Google maps and was charged directly by SV Pizzeria, which I have done in the past. When I got there to pick it up, they said that Doordash had picked it up and got extremely rude with me. When I explained that I didn't go through Doordash, the owner started yelling at me and saying it must have been my daughter because someone picked it up who is younger than me and it's not his responsibility. I called Doordash and of course they have no record of a driver picking it up so they couldn't help. He refused to provide me with a new pizza or even admit that he had given my pizza to someone else.
