I took a youth group from my church to a judgement house three hours away on Sunday and on the way back we stopped in Clinton to get food. We stopped in between McDonald's and Wendy's so kids could walk to whichever they wanted only to find both were closed in the lobby. So we decided to see if they would let us walk through the drive thru. Wendys told us after we came up to order that we would have to be in a vehicle. We explained we had multiple orders and they said we still needed to be in a vehicle. So we got all the kids back together and in the van ( the McDonald's group hadn't got up to place an order yet) and decided to drive thru both places. We pull up at wendys and begin out first order and wendys employee says we do not take more than three orders per vehicle. This is after he informed us he would take our order once we were in a vehicle. We had probably 6 of our 15 that planned to order there but they refused to take our order and were very rude. We went through McDonald's instead which took all 15 orders, we payed for each seperate ( we tipped well), and they got every order correct. We probably caused quite a rush for them afterward but we appreciated their accommodations. Also didn't see a car at wendys the entire time we were at McDonald's so they were not too busy. On the way we decided to stop at Wendy’s in Clinton Missouri at 8:45pm, and grab a cheeseburger, fry and a drink, along with some chicken nuggets for my granddaughter. It was totally nauseating when we pulled up to the order window to pick up our order. The order window was filthy, it look like it had not been cleaned for a week or two. The trash set along the french fry holder compartment and was stacked up real high to where you could see it from the window. It really makes you wonder how clean the restaurant was in the cooking area. It also made you question the cleanliness of the employees, and their sanitary habits. Read moreAnother one star from me. This time because I literally ordered the food from the app via my phone to have delivered, they’re open till 11 and this was 8:00. I got the confirmation that the door dasher would have it to me by 8:18pm. However, at 8:15, I got a text saying the order was cancelled because the store had just closed for the night due to being understaffed. This is a Saturday night. I can never seem to reach anyone in management or higher up in the franchise but I would love the opportunity to speak to someone. I’ve tried reaching out numerous times using various methods that I’ve gotten from online searches but also from the staff there themselves.
