This is a story of disgust and despair.
Imagine, after doing loops around this truck stop/"restaurant" combo and finally locating the entrance, you are met with a grizzled trucker telling the woman at the counter that his experience was as such - "terrible... my omelet was cold and it took forever to get service..." - and yet you still lack the foresight to turn on your heels and walk out.
Imagine asking for a table for five and being directed to a booth that would be a cause for consternation for two claustrophobes, dirt and crystallized food scraps crunching beneath your feet as you approach your self-imposed prison.
Imagine unwrapping your silverware and finding no other explanation for the grime covering them than assuming they were dipped into vats of Crisco before being brought to the table.
Imagine being brought coffee that tastes so dirty it would offend earthworms' culinary sensibilities.
Imagine your order arriving 45 minutes after it was taken, Belgian waffle impersonating a half-defrosted Eggo, white toast slathered in butter that would be mistaken for French's given its radioactive yellow sheen, and an omelet that was described as "ok" by the optimist among the group.
Imagine being in a breakfast themed episode of the Twilight Zone.
If you have any sense of self-worth, do not, under any circumstances, go within a mile of this sorry excuse for an...
Read moreIf i could give zero stars i would. Never been here so i thought why not try out. Bad idea. Walked in and we stood there waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes then the server came in from outside. Sat us and gave us menus and walked away. She came back and got our drinks which was 2 dr peppers and two shakes. My shake was wrong. What she gave me wasn't even an option on the menu but claimed that i told her thats what i wanted. She gave me an attitude when i told her it was wrong and said well that's what you told me but ill change it. Kind of hard to say something that isn't on the menu. My shake and our food was brought out by a different server who also had an attitude. She didn't ask if our food looked okay. No server ever came and checked on us after we got our food. The person i was with had to atop one of them just to get a dr pepper refill. I had to stop her for a box and the check. We went up to pay and the first server was helping someone else but the pin-pad wasn't working so she went to the back and came back with food for a completely different table. Yes she left in the middle of a transaction to go get food. Then after finishing the transaction knowing we were standing there waiting she walks away again. Comes back says nothing to us throws the receipt at us and walks away. No thank you no have a nice day nothing. Will never...
Read moreThe food was pretty good but the service was not very pleasant. A staff member told us that there was no hot chocolate but we saw it on the menu. Then we were supposed to get mashed potatoes but got very little. The employee told us sharply that there were mashed potatoes on the plate but there was actually only a little bit of it and they never offered to bring more so we had to go ask for more on our own because there was hardly any on the plate. The whole plate was kind of a mess as well, with gravy all over the place. We were also supposed to get cranberry sauce with our dish but never received any. Not only that but we ran out of chocolate milk and the staff member told us in a sharp tone that they didn't do refills. That is understandable, but the way the employee said it was rude and they didn't offer to get us new cups of milk so we had to ask ourselves. Finally, we asked the staff member to get us some to-go containers but they never did. We had to ask two different people to finally get our containers because the staff member wouldn't get them for us. And keep in mind that all of this happened with the same employee. The food was definitely good, but our experience would have been more delightful if we had better service. We get that it was a holiday, but that is no excuse for that...
