Shaking boba — Restaurant in Clive

Forgot to review this back in November. Today I remembered why. So I had ordered from here prior to being in the store (Uber eats) and loved the mad mango smoothie with the mango poppings. I loved the cute decor inside. Now the service it was not it; The lady who took our order didn't hear me right and instead of mango poppings she put regular boba which was not what I asked. I understand it could of been a mistake and she might of pressed the wrong button but when I went to get it fixed she seemed annoyed and all she did was take out the smoothie and add it onto a new cup with the mango poppings. Which just made it look messy. So therefore that is why I took off two stars. Overall the smoothie was still good just the service could had been better.

Now today my husband went for me and ordered the same thing. Asked for two of them and only got one. Went to get another and instead of okay ill make another he gets rudely commented that she only heard one order of this. Okay regardless just be nice! How hard is it? We are doing you a service and would be tipping if you were not so rude all the time. So sad to be treated this way for a smoothie you truly enjoy! I am not one to give bad reviews but since this is now the second time it makes me wonder why the people working here are so unhappy. 1st time coming here yesterday 10/8/2024 and I must say I was stuck in between drinks especially the milk teas because they ALLL LOOK SO FREAKING GOOD ❤️ 💙 💜 BUT THE ONE I CHOSE I WAS TOTALLY GRATEFUL FOR THE HELP I RECEIVED FROM THE TWO LADY'S WORKING HERE. Let me tell you about the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. It is Monday afternoon and turns out Shaking Boba is closed on Monday for cleaning. As I walked up to the door I noticed the “Closed” sign on the door but saw a gentleman and a young lady sitting inside so I decided to try the door. It was open. I asked the man if they were closed and he said yes. After taking a look at my tired and disappointed expression, and my dirty construction clothes he invited me in and said he would make me whatever I wanted. He told me they were waiting on a photographer for a Door Dash foto shoot. The sweet young lady took my order and payment as the man took his time to make me the best Cocolicious drink I’ve ever had.
