Solies Nail Spa — Local services in Clive

I came here for luxury pedicures with my friends.

Pros: The facility seemed clean and I got great attentive service. We were offered drinks at several opportunities and the staff were overall very attentive. There was a paraffin wax treatment which I've never experienced before (on my feet) that was pleasant, and the towel wrap (around the legs) was a very nice addition. I love how my nails turned out and we also each got a free gift (a full-size hand lotion). This salon also takes advantage of punch cards for regular customers.

Cons: We had a scheduled appointment (for the three of us) and had to wait about an hour to be seated. After being seated two of us waited about another 10 minutes while one of my friends had to wait even longer. She had a less-pleasant experience which included towels that were left on so long they got cold (and remained on her legs throughout her polish process), and the person took a phone call (during which she got upset with the person on the other end of the line) in the middle of her pedicure.

Overall I would say it was a nice place and 2/3 of us would give it a thumbs up. I think they really try to give you a quality experience and just need a little more training in customer service to have a consistent overall experience for...

I am not one to write reviews, I just don't care enough unless I'm super impressed. And I'm super impressed! This was the absolute best experience I have ever had at a nail salon in my life. I usually just go to whatever nail salon is closest to where I am, but I will probably ONLY go to Solies from here on out. The place is gorgeous and clean. The staff is so friendly and personable; they truly take pride in their work and the finished product. While I was getting my pedicure done I got concerned that I had maybe picked a crazy expensive nail salon, because there's no way that this place could be regular price for how great of service I was getting. Nope. Same price I pay everywhere else (~$100 for acrylic gel manicure and a gel pedicure) for truly the best experience I have had. Go get your nails done here. You will...

Solies is my go to nail salon since I’ve moved to Iowa and discovered the place. I’ve never felt more comfortable and satisfied with any other nail salon I’ve ever been to. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and they provide excellent customer service. Everyone is very talented and they go above and beyond with their customer service and making sure that you leave with exactly what you asked for! The salon is very clean and well kept. They play really good music and make you feel like you’re at home. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a relaxing, fun, affordable and welcoming experience.
