PepperJax Grill — Restaurant in Clive

Let me start by saying this was one of my husband's and I's favorite places to go. We would probably eat here 3+ times a month! Went in today for our regular food. We were rudely greeted. They normally ask if we want fries, but they didn't ask so we told them that we would like 2 fries. The girl who was working huffed and rolled her eyes. I got a steak salad like usual and when it came time for my dressing I asked for ranch. When I asked for more ranch the guy told me they were only allowed to give 4oz per meal but what he had put on my salad was way less than 4oz, it was maybe 1oz at best. When we asked for ranch for our fries we were told that they don't do that. They only give 4oz per meal. About a month ago I was getting my normal salad when the manager let me know that they would be starting to charge extra for more than 4oz of any dipping sauce or dressing. I didn't care as long as I could get what I wanted. I don't mind paying the extra for extra sauces. But when we were there today they told us they don't allow us to pay for extra sauces because they don't have a button for that. I found that odd as the manager had told me that we would have the option of paying extra for sauces. We usually do dine in to eat but they didn't even give us the option, they through our food and a bag and gave it to us. Needless to say, we won't be back to Pepperjax. It is sad because it was one of our absolutely favorite...

hello I came in and sat there 5 minutes in line with one customer in front of me and three employees At witness not one time was I greeted After the five minutes of waiting one person What do you want? I then tell them I want a steak and shrimp philly and some fries The gentleman running fries then coughs into his hands and then doesn't wash his hands and takes another person's food and starts boxing it up. Then a separate person comes out and doesn't help in any way. I then tell them 3 separate times I went to cheese mixed in and the first person says OK. Then the second person that comes out at the very end goes. We don't do that here even though I've been coming there for 5 years. Getting the same order was incredibly rude was incredibly rude. Was incredibly rude. Was incredibly disrespectful. I then called to see what they're name. And their We're doing it manager's name was they then yelled at me for 2 more minutes. Telling me that their manager would be in in the morning and I could call them then and then I had to ask 2 more times before they yelled dermatology Beth's name at me and then told me their name was Nick. Extremely dissatisfied walked out of the restaurant. Did not get my food won't be back in for a long time incredibly...

Walking into the dining area, noticed that they have water dripping from the ceiling. There isn't a bucket or rag or anything catching the water, it's just falling and splashing on the floor.

We stood in line behind 6 people when we originally showed up. After about 15 minutes, the family of four in front of us had only been able to start their order due to the slow pace of the workers. They decided not to order anything further and get something somewhere else.

After they left and my party started to be helped, the workers made comments about the previous customers, saying "I'm glad they were able to find the door...." and "I have no respect for people who don't have patience." - well, if you would work at a faster pace, they may have stayed and ordered. My party considered leaving as well, but we didn't have anywhere to be.

I only came here because one member of our party liked the food here. I, myself, will not return on m own.

I've also been able to type this entire review while my food continues to sit on he grill waiting to be made.... I'm half expecting it to be cold by the time I get it. Also, the trash cans are overflowing and is loaded with trash everywhere. And the food is Luke...
