This experience occurred on 09/11/24. I have many problems with this place, starting with how it's run. If I could give zero stars I would. The workers are rude, and are completely unacceptable. First, we get our food but the order is wrong, so, we drive around the line to tell them at the speaker that we got the wrong order. They then told us that we had to wait through the entire line in order to get our correct order even though we shouldn't even have to go back. So, we tried to park and come in through the front door, only to find out that all of the doors outside were locked and you could only communicate with them through the drive-thru speaker and the second window. They wouldn't even bring us our things to the first window. So we got back in line and waited. When we finally got to the window after waiting for 20-30 minutes, we had to explain to the worker that he actually did NOT put multiple of our items into the bag even though he began to argue with us that he did, elevating to a yell at us. He then shut the window door in our faces as the workers in the back laughed at us. The window door shutting in our face has happened multiple times by several of the workers. We had a special order sandwich due to one of my family members allergies. After waiting, he finally brings out some of them missing items. Only to find out that they still got it wrong the second time! The very item that was going to be given to my family member with allergens. He than began to tell us that this mistake was "only a problem" for us and " Not a problem" for him. Word for word. He then took the sandwich and our receipt and remade it accordingly. Our food that was given to us to "make up" for this incident wasn't even warm. It was cold and the fries were not fresh at all. They didn't even apologize or offer a refund. He then "forgot" to give us our receipt back. We had to request it back and order to make a complaint to corporate, which we will be doing. We will not be back to this Wendy's and I highly recommend that no one else...

No matter the day of the week, every single evening between 9 and 930 PM, this location always "looks" like it is closed with all its exterior lights off and drive through completely shut down. All online information and the store itself have it advertised of a closing time that should be 10 PM!! Menu lights in drive through will be off and nobody will talk to take an order ever, regardless of how long you sit and wait. finally we got smart enough to park and go inside because hey the lights outside may all be off, but the doors are unlocked and they will take your order once you are standing at the counter! customer service is wonderful in the drive through if u manage to get your order taken there, but inside nobody even acknowledges you neverlone greets you. staff will force a smile and talk long enough to take your order and then once the food gets to you, it's just a forced smile again and you are on your way. I worked in the food business and customer service field for a total of 15 years, and if any restaurant I worked in would have been run like this that store would not have the same staff working anymore! it was never tolerated! if working in a restaurant in general or customer service or heck working at all, is not for you than why even have that job!? I rarely write reviews but in this case it's the only one I felt was worth writing! we love Wendys and we love all other locations, however this location works really well for us after we get off work which is a 2nd shift job; so we highly depend on whether or not a restaurant is open until the time it says it is supposed to be! there is only so many food places open late enough in west des moines, for 2nd shift workers, so it would be really nice to have this one be open when it says it's...
Read more7/10/25 9am. The rudest bunch of people ever! We walked from the hotel! This lady watched us try and open the door it was locked! She watched us walk around the building to the other door and then unlocked the 1st door we were at in the 1st place and then started doing something else while we were all waiting at the other door that was still locked. Then she finally came and unlocked it no good morning no nothing just unlocked and walked away. Then we all stood in line and thought the younger girl was going to take our order. Nope! She was just ringing up her own breakfast and walked off with not a word to any of us either. Then we were back with the original rude lady and she proceeded to take a tray to flip the signs for breakfast while we all just stood there and watched. It was like she waiting for one of us to say something so she could be even more unprofessional. She continued to talk to other employees and then finally said in these words "what you need" with the look she has on her face says it all. 2 people left and said they dont have time for this! We didnt either but were on a business trip and had to be somewhere at a certain time. She was so rude! If you dont like your job leave! Apparently you didnt want to be there since you still had your night clothes on and a bonnet. Complete out of dress code for Wendy's. Make it make sense!
