I've been going to your establishment for 17 years and last night was by far the worst experience I've ever had at your university location. Our server was completely rude and seemed as if we were an inconvenience. He didn't smile once and didn't check on us very often to replenish our drinks or take the wrong and cold food back. I'm not one to post complaints or nag, but this was ridiculous. I got the wrong margarita but shrugged it off because I thought from his initial attitude, he was having a bad day. I've been in the service industry for 11 years, so I completely understand how hard it can be to deal with people when you're in a terrible mood. When I told him I ordered a regular margarita, all he said was "oh" and didn't offer to bring me the correct one or take it off the bill. Then, we get our food and my son got the wrong meal and my mother and her friend's food was cold. We sat there for a couple minutes not touching anything to see if he's notice, but the children were hungry and we thought we'd just deal with it because of that. We tried to flag him down about the cold food and he continued to walk past us and not come back. After we got the check, I noticed I got charged for a full "fajita quesadilla" but did not have the lettuce, sour cream, and pico that came with it just last week and many times before that when I have gotten that exact menu item. When I said something to him he then tried to argue with me and had a snotty attitude telling me that the quesadilla doesn't come with the lettuce, sour cream, and pico. Well, does it or not because I've had it every other time. Needless to say, a dollar wasn't even taken off of the ticket and there was no apology for anything, not once. No explanation, no smile. I'm not looking for a free meal or free anything for that matter but training your staff to be accomodating and polite would help your business and your employee's gratuity. I understand mistakes are made, I also understand rectifying them and how to...
Read moreOkay... let me start by saying, I have been here multiple times before, the food was always good... the servers were always quick and friendly, the front staff is ALWAYS disconnected and usually feel like you're bothering their Spanish conversation, but you know that going in after the first one or two visits, so you just kind of deal with it.
This trip however... will make me never eat here again
ordered the same thing i always do. fajita's no peppers no onions no pico... and a side of queso, now i love the queso, on their chips and eventually on my food. However... i took one bite of the queso and could tell that is was bad/going bad... right on that fine edge... still tasted like queso, but still had the garbage taste to it... i literally took the one bite and put the whole bowl of queso aside. I never once asked for it to be taken off my bill. i even stated i would pay for it... i told the server who picked up my plate that someone should check this queso and was told... and i quote. " i dont know about that" and he walked off with my plates. brought me back my bill, asked if i want any more to drink and let me be on my way... so... i decided since he wasnt going to bring it up to anyone i would bring it up to the lady at the front counter. again i repeated, i will pay for it because i ordered it... but someone needs to check this queso... to a reply of... well they are eating it... pointing at another table... as if by some miracle i couldnt have gotten the last of a can of cheese. or that just because they are eating it smothered on other food that it still doesnt have a fowl taste... i paid my bill and left. i called back after i got to work and requested to speak to a manager... to be told oh im sorry, there isnt a manager here (at 3:30 on a friday afternoon)... again, this was one of my favorite places to eat before this experience... but because of all the reasons mentioned in my mini novel... I WILL...
Read moreNormally, El Rodeo is my go to! I know what I like and get the same thing every time. I had just got done telling my friend that this place has never disappointed me. Well, guess there's a first time for every. I called in a to-go order and placed an order of spinach dip (among other things). When we got home, our boxes were mashed (whatever, I'll eat food off the lid haha) and there was no spinach dip, but there was bean dip. At first, I didn't not realize it was bean dip. I thought they had just forgotten our flaunts, so I called in and asked if I was mistaking thinking those came with the spinach dip. I've been wanting to try it and had never ordered it there before. When I called back, the gentle on the phone started arguing with me saying I ordered bean dip. I'm sorry, but I know what the difference between bean dip and spinach dip is. Especially, since I've been wanting to try it! Basically, I'm most disappointed in the way that they handled the situation and how the guys started arguing with me about it more than mistake itself. I would have 100% gotten over that. No big deal, but this guy definitely did not deserve the full tip...
