Carmine & Ray's Pizza — Restaurant in Closter

Placed an order for delivery from their website menu. When the delivery came the driver had no receipt. When I requested one he gave me his slip which had no pricing. Of the 3 people i spoke with he was the nicest.

We called to confirm pricing and of the 4 items ordered, 3 were more expensive than listed on their website. I explained to the mngr and was told that prices had changed recently and I should get a printed menu.

He finally agreed to honor the website price but instructed me that I was never to call them again since he felt I was calling him a thief. Any logical person would agree I had a right to question why the amount was different and hope that any reputable business would accept accountability for their error. The total was almost $10 higher than the website. Apparently, I was just supposed to accept their error because as he told me, "that was a lot of food".

He said they would credit me but you guessed it, I never received a credit, or even an apology for what could only be called crappy service.

To add insult to injury, the food was so so. The Calamari tasted more like chicken nuggets than actual squid....

I know this is a place to leave a review for the restaurant, but for me, it’s so much more than just a spot to grab a meal.
