⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars – Our New Favorite Steakhouse!
We celebrated our four-year wedding anniversary at 13 Prime Steak (Willow & Nees in Fresno), and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
First, a big shout-out to Joseph, the manager. This was our first time here, and after I left a message after hours, he called me back right away to secure our reservation. He truly went above and beyond to make our evening special.
Our server, Ben, was incredibly efficient, professional, and attentive. And Ryan, our busser, deserves special recognition—so polite, kind, and great with people. He has an amazing gift for customer service, and I hope they promote or train him as a server soon. Next time we come, I’ll definitely be asking for Ryan to serve our table.
Now for the food—wow! We started with warm garlic herb bread and butter that was just heavenly. Our main course was the tomahawk steak, cooked medium rare—perfectly seasoned, beautifully seared, and so tender it literally melted in my mouth. Hands down, it was the best steak I’ve ever had, and I honestly don’t know if anything else could compare. If the tomahawk was this tender, I can only imagine how incredible their filet mignon must be! We paired it with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, rich lobster mac & cheese, and a fresh Caesar salad with the best dressing and Tabasco croutons (a must-try).
For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate espresso cake and the crème brûlée, both topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream—absolutely divine. And as a special anniversary surprise, Joseph and the team brought out a beautiful Capri peanut butter cake with whipped cream, caramel, chocolate drizzle, and a candle. Such a thoughtful and memorable touch!
From start to finish, the evening was perfect—amazing food, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Without a doubt, this is the best steakhouse in Fresno.
And the best part? All of this was part of their $135 weeknight date special, plus a $20 add-on for the lobster mac & cheese—worth...

The food was mediocre and overpriced. My husband and the other man in our party ordered the escargot, it was bland rubbery and cold, not a good escargot at all. The other lady and I had the crispy lobster, it was good although to salty.
Three of us had the shrimp and grits, it was a poorly executed dish and the shrimp seemed to be out of a bag at best. The other gentleman had the bone in ribeye special, his steak was tough.
If you decide to eat here when you make a reservation be sure to tell them that you do not want a table next to the bar or you will have people standing on top of you the whole time.
Hopefully some of this is growing pains and they will get it together soon, but it will be quite a long time before we might give it another chance. It’s to bad we were hoping for a nice steakhouse.
I had to come in and do an edit to be able to reply to the response below of my original review above.*
Your response of my review is a glaring example of the unprofessionalism which I spoke of in my review. Rather than addressing the sub par food we received, the uncomfortabness of having people standing right over us and bumping into us the whole time we were trying to have a meal you chose to call out someone else on MY review.
I know that when restaurants first open there are bugs to work out kinks that need tightened and it can take a little while to get running smoothly. I gave an honest critique of my experience in hopes that in a few months my husband and I would come back and try your restaurant again, however in light of the total unprofessionalism of the response that was given to my review I see that that will be an...
Read moreVisited last night. It was a mixed bag. The good news is that the Lobster app. was very good. The creamed spinach was also very good. The 13 prime burger though cooked well done was still very juicy and was enjoyed. The bread pudding got raves. The fried chicken salad got high marks (but I have to say I thought the greens to chicken ratio was low...meaning needed more greens). The server Adam was great.
Before getting to what could be done better, a word about the bar, blended drinks were not an option. This makes no sense and kept me from enjoying a drink prior to dinner.
First let me say that nothing was terrible, but given the price there can be little room for error. The 42 oz. Ribeye was under cooked. I shared the steak with my S/O. Maybe not such a good idea as she perfers med. well steak and I perfer (but I am very fexible) med. rare. We decided to go a "happy medium" and order the steal medium. It was much closer to medium rare. Good for me bad for her. Why did we not ask for more fire? Because after showing us the steak ,and indeed it was pretty, it was taken back and sliced.
The garlic mashed potates were good not great . Maybe the proper word here is the potatoes were not memorable. I sit thinking that maybe they needed shallots....but i can not remember if they did or did not have shallots.
Of note, for me there two small but important missing items...and maybe this is because I am old school....there were no salt and pepper on the table and no bread offered.
Lastly, I felt a little cramped and even more so after the place starting getting busy....less tables?
BTW, I maybe too tough of a grader....Others in my party would rate 4 stars. To be clear, I would and...
