Summary: a pizza chain that is worth ordering from, but with a location that consistently underperforms.
I've been ordering from this location since I moved to town a few years ago. I am usually pretty generous with reviews, and they would have gotten a solid 5-stars back then, but their consistency has gone way down hill.
The food is good when properly cooked. Easily the best pizzas in town (except maybe Red Stone), which isn't a high bar, but still legitimately good. They also have very tasty sandwiches and condiments (their green chili ranch is delicious). The only issue I have with some of their pizzas is that they are very greasy (looking at you Carnivore and Special) and do not travel well... if you get take out or delivery, there is a good chance that they are a soggy mess by the time you start eating. This issue is compounded by the fact that the they (staff? equipment?) are inconsistent with cooking the pizzas properly. A greasy pizza that is also undercooked is gross. I would estimate that 30-40% of the pizzas I get from them are either under or over cooked.
The most serious issue I have with this location is the staff. Even when the place is dead, it has been over a year and a half since I have received a realistic time estimate. They normally say my order will be ready in 20-30 minutes (40 if they are actually busy) and I always need to wait an addition 10-30 minutes. I started showing up 10 minutes after they tell me to be there, and I still need to wait 10-20 minutes.
Overall, I keep going back because they're one of the only good pizzas in town. I don't go nearly as often as I used to because I don't like gambling $20-50 on whether I'm going to have a decent meal.
This next part is mostly for whoever reads reviews at Dion's...
Today, I called in my order for pickup and was told 20 minutes and showed up after 30 based on food never being ready when I'm told it will be. I paid for my pizza and the employee working the register went to check on its status. The same employee came back a couple of minutes later and told me it would be out in another minute. No biggie. A few minutes later I watch them pull out the pizza and let it sit for over 10 minutes getting cold. It wasn't dead at the restaurant, but there were maybe three other groups in the restaurant at the time, most of the staff were clearly not that busy. This is a common experience for me at your restaurant, but at least today the employee was more attentive than normal.
There are frequently employees just standing around while people are waiting on food. It appears that most of the staff are only trained or directed to focus on one specific task, like making sandwiches or preparing pizzas. It would help your efficiency to have all the employees trained to cut and package a pizza or look up from their station when they aren't busy to cover for other positions that are falling behind.
I won't blame the workers directly, because most of them seem friendly and eager to do a good job. Many of them are young and probably working their first job and just need a little development. Whether it's poor training, retention of experience, or staffing, I blame the management. It doesn't matter which employees are working, I have consistently encountered the same issues over the past year.
At one point, y'all deserved your 4.5 stars, but...
Read moreI go here often when I want the best pizza in the city. I try to dine in when I eat Dions because of the atmosphere and the customer service. The workers have always been kind and respectful. The atmosphere is clean, spacious, always smells great and I honestly comepare it to the way i felt as a kid going to Pizza Hut. Everyone knows there's nothing like it, but everyone knows Pizza Hut isn't the same and neither is their pizza. Dions tastes authentic and really well made. While it is a bit more pricey than the other pizzas around, it is worth it. I sit in the same spot everytime i dine in with family or friends. Keep up the great work Dions and team members. You guys are doing fantastic 👏 ❤️ (I can't forget how I once ordered a bottle of ranch from Dions and i never got it. It's a simple mistake, they forgot to add it to my pickup order. And i ate my pizza at home with my family, we didnt even remembered about it til the next day. Now its been months later and i still haven't forgotten. It haunts me. But i haven't told Dions. Its ok. I can forgive but i can't...

Dion’s delivers on both quality and value in a way no other pizza place can match. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the portions and freshness you get. Every bite feels like you’re getting way more than your money’s worth.
The pizza itself is on another level — the crust is baked to perfection, the cheese is always gooey and delicious, and the toppings taste fresh and generous. Their salads are also unbeatable, loaded with toppings instead of just being a pile of lettuce. It feels like every dish is made with care.
After trying Dion’s, I honestly can’t bring myself to order from Pizza Hut or Domino’s anymore — the difference in flavor and quality is just too big. On top of that, the staff is friendly, service is quick, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming.
If you’re looking for the best price and the best pizza in town, Dion’s is hands-down the place to go. Whether you’re feeding the family, grabbing lunch, or craving a fresh salad, you won’t regret...
