We used to really like Taco Villa and got in the habit of going for tea during happy hour and probably about once a week we would drive thru for food in the evening, but in the last couple of months we have been more and more disappointed. The food is still about the same (and still too expensive), but it seems we don't usually get what we ordered, especially in the drive through and of course don't figure it out until we get home with either not everything we ordered or something totally different like tonight. We paid $4. 28 !! for a meat burrito made extreme with no red sauce (this used to be a favorite). I checked the receipt and the bag and counted items. The burrito looking item turned out to be a tortilla wrapped red sauce and rice and a couple of flakes of what looks like chicken. I did notice it felt like a kind of small burrito, but didn't open it up to check its ingredients. We ordered iced tea with extra ice and it did not have extra ice and was barely cold - the extra ice wasn't listed on the receipt. By the way, there is no website or phone number listed on the receipt. I think tonight may have been the last time we do Taco Villa for a while. The help at the window was polite. Read moreWhat you have to do when ordering Taco Villa is- First check you order before leaving the counter. For each item! EDIT from a year ago. EVERY single person was new today (6-10-23) Two people out of eight seemed to know what they were doing. I ordered two taco salads, to go. I was the only take away order in work, but, there was also NO ONE working at making Taco salads. Seven other people were served, (Four who ordered after I did) before I got my food.!!!! Plus, their prices are thru the roof now. I mean, two taco salads should not be almost...
Read moreOK. I've been twice. The first time I had the double chicken quesadillas and they were very good. I figured any place that serves their hot sauce from a single serve half-n-half type container must be pretty authentic. I went back and had the steak and egg breakfast burrito.... O.M.G... Touchdown! Bingo.. Yahtzee.. UNO.... Some breakfast burritos require sauce of some sorts because they tend to be a bit dry. Not this breakfast burrito! It was wet and the song that the cheese sang with potatoes were all of that.. Then the steak! Seasoned and bold up against the backdrop of the salsa melted cheese or cheese sauce and those soft potatoes... I could have eaten like 10 of them!! Excellent. I...
