First and foremost I want to start by stating that I have been a general manager, assistant manager, kitchen manager & corporate trainer in my 30 years. It is a Saturday evening! 1 cook, 2 servers and a key lead is all that is staffed for tonight! (I’ve asked many questions while trying to remain calm and collective). My family and I came in a little before 8pm. It is now 9:30pm. We are just now receiving our food. (Kudos to the young lady who sat us. She explained at the our greeting that it would be a wait for our food because the kitchen is running slow tonight) no biggie. I am generally the last person to ever complain or not hang tight. Our poor servers BOTH tell us they have been working since 8am!! I asked for a a manger and they tell me they haven’t had one on duty since this morning!!! Poor girl is limping and the young man server was being so sincere and apologetic numerous times over our wait. I watched the one cook leave the kitchen unattended a solid 4-5 times as he proceeded to take phone calls and sit at a booth while the restaurant has numerous tables waiting on food! No urgency whatsoever. The poor servers were going from the kitchen to the server alley to the floor trying to desperately make and get food out. Shift lead was in and out of the kitchen as she was needed for comps, voids, discounts, etc. but for the most part she was either in the kitchen on and off or taking quick smoke breaks. It’s pretty obvious the General Manager running this show does not take much pride in the store! More staff should have been scheduled or called in. That position is about sacrifice and that sacrifice sure should have shown up for he or she’s team this Saturday evening! I would never allow my team to drowned in such manner!! Monitor your ticket times, staffing par per shift, labor & sales and you would clearly see your team is in dire need of a leader! Will not be returning. Worst experience in dining in Clovis, Nm. Someone bring this place...

Wife ordered a burrito. They didn't have big tortillas but could make 3 tacos. They also said they are out of avocado and country gravy. The food came out and the only thing that was hot was my eggs. We both had 2 pancakes. How is it that we get cold pancakes at IHOP? They were at least 30 minutes old as they were not just cool, they were so cold the butter wasn't even softening up on top the pancakes. The wife's breakfast "burrito" tacos had burnt sausage and the entire thing tasted as if everything was fried in the same grease since 5 am. Everything had a burnt aftertaste and oily. For mine, I had a breakfast sampler. My "two pieces of bacon" was a single bacon strip cut in half yet I got charged full price. The wife's burrito taco had a tiny speck of bacon cut up to the equivalent of a single bacon bit on each taco. They were probably almost out of bacon too.
The wife said she can't eat it. It literally tastes like burnt oil. We informed the waitress. This lady walked to the kitchen window and shouted loudly, "This lady said these taste horrible and the sausage is burnt." I watched 3 tables in eyesight look over to watch. 1, that is embarrassing as we don't like sending food back and if we do we never eat anything else as we don't trust it. 2, why would you want to loudly bring negative attention to your cooking? Go walk into the kitchen and say that quietly so no one else knows that you are incompetent at making basic food.
Now the final nail in the coffin...I watched a server pour water in a man's glass using a Pepsi cup, not a pitcher. Now, when I say Pepsi cup I mean one of those large paper cups with the wax coating on it you get for drive through or take out.
The best I can say is I was hungry and it was passible as food but I will not be returning to...
Read moreWent here this morning for breakfast and it took about an hour to get the food we ordered. According to the server, the kitchen was behind on orders, hence, the delay in getting our food, but still come on, hire more cooks or let the customers know there will be an extended wait before the food ordered arrives to the table.
The server himself was very apologetic for the delay, I can't blame him for the kitchen being behind on orders, there's only so much he can do. The server did come back to the table multiple times asking us if we needed anything or if we needed any refills, that was the only positive part, hence the two stars instead of one.
Also, during the whole almost two hours while there, there were many tables that weren't cleaned up, plates and cups were still there as if they didn't have anyone available to clean up the tables. The hand soap in both dispensers in the men's restroom ran out before I left, and the toilet paper in the stall was hanging in the coat hanger of the door; the women's bathroom I heard wasn't any better.
As for the food, once we did receive it, all my family said thier dishes were good, my dish on the other hand wasn't. I had ordered the New York cheesecake pancakes, and it just tasted like regular pancakes with whip cream and strawberries on top. I didn't make a big deal over it because I didn't want to send it back and wait another hour to get my correct order.
The management of this location really has a lot...
