Harbor Freight — Local services in Clovis

We have shopped here many times we bought a generator we called and notified Harbor Freight that the generator we just purchased had already used and was not working was told e we we’re able to return to the store. I go and return the generator and as soon as I tell the cashier (Pat) she was so rude she said I had to empty out the oils or they could not accept it I replied back the gas and oil was in it when we purchased it so I had to call my husband to come down to the store when he got there she was rude to him also the manger ( Brenna) acted like we were not there my husband was asking what we need to do and she blew us off so we went and dumped a pinch of gas that was in there went back with the same cashier she finally did the return then stated we were being charged for a re-stock fee like how are we being charged for a generator you sold us broken. I will not be shopping...

This store is less than 6 months old. All of the employees are professional and courteous. If you are a diy guy or tech, HF has what you need. Lets not compare HF to Snap-on, but a lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty. The Daytona 3.5 ton $159 jack is basically a perfect copy of the Snap-on $500 version. HF hand tools are also the best for your buck. Impact sockets, breaker bars, socket sets, and tool boxes are also an incredible deal. Many pro techs use nothing but HF, 12 hours a day.

I've been a loyal HF customer for nearly 20 years. Glad to see one in Clovis.

"Corporate" if you are reading this, pay your employees a good wage, and treat them like they are irreplaceable. Happy employees, make happy customers.

I went to get some staples for a pneumatic stapler brand that they sell. The box of staples I grabbed had been opened but taped closed, I didn't notice, but the cashier did, and he put an open box discount on the purchase. A week later, I tried to use them, but they didn't fit even though they were the correct size. When I tried to return them, I was told I couldn't because it was an open box. I showed her it was open when I got it, but she said yes, that's why you can't return it! You only have 7 days to return. I said it's day 8. I asked for a manager, and she told me the manager wasn't there and wouldn't refund or exchange them anyway!

Very put off by the lack of customer service skills and professionalism of employees. I will no longer shop here. They lost a long time customer...
