This was our first time at the Red Door on Main. The food is expensive for the limited menu they have, and not a varied selection. If you want something plain, you have to ask for it, because it's not on the menu. The sides or additions to your main menu choice are not listed on the menu either. The flavors weren't what we expected, the food was dry and some foods were unexpectedly sweet where sugar (or other sweetener) was added, but not mentioned on the menu. (That's a deal-breaker for anyone with diabetes or insulin issues, so beware!) Ingredient items where left out of a dish, but were charged for. There is no gluten free options. This is not a place that waits on you per se, you're basically on your own. If you like a bar atmosphere, this is your place. If you're looking for a restaurant, keep looking unless you're ok with basic service. Everyone in our group was of the same opinion, we weren't impressed.

Food was hot and fresh. The drink in the photo (forgot the name) and the strawberry prickly pear lemonade were great! My husband and I were traveling in on business from out of town and were recommended to try out Red Door. He ordered the Sweet Fire Burger and I enjoyed the Green Chile Enchilada Burger. Both burgers had great/soft and well seasoned patties. I could of used more green chile but no knock on the flavor at all. Multiple textures in my Burger and the fries were crispy. Great house ranch. I grew up in Clovis and so happy to see more restaurants with modern vibes like this popping up. I'll say, maybe TV isn't part of the Red Doors vibe but would have loved to have the game on while eating some good food! Service was perfect. Loved her recommendations. I look forward to trying some other stuff on the menu on my next visit.

Came to check it out, I am impressed at the staff. They were friendly, attentive, professional, and helpful. We did bring a toddler, but there is nothing in the menu for kids or younger children. The place is clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, but the paper towel dispenser wasn't working at this time. We had some drinks and appetizers. They were very tasty and different. The jalapeños and pickle strips were very good, not enough but tasty, pricey for the amount on the platter, and the raspberry sauce was exceptionally flavorful My favorite is the philly egg rolls and the beer cheese sauce. Great tasting mixed drinks. We just loved them. We will return without kids to try other items.

We had friends from out of town that we brought here and it was a truly disappointing experience.

Easily the worst service of any place that I've ever been to.

I don't even do reviews of bad places I've eaten...because I understand that all businesses have days that aren't the greatest. However, this place deserves a mention.

6 of us came in and sat down. There was 2 other tables and a handful of people at the bar. All in all, I'd say that business was pretty minimal when we were there.

About 25 mins after sitting down...we were finally approached by a waitress. One of the people in our party was served spoiled milk and it just went downhill from there.

First off, I understand if it was really busy and mistakes happened. I totally get that. I've worked in restaurants and I know how that goes. However, there was only 2 tables besides ours.

We waited well over an hour for our food. Tables that ordered after us...were served before us. One couple came in and sat down....and still hadn't been helped 30 minutes after they were seated.

To be fair....the food was decent, but that's where anything positive ends.

On a very non-busy day...what should have been a 30 minute lunch took us over 2 hours. It was one of the biggest debacles of a food operation that i've ever seen.

If you read other reviews about this place...you'll see that it isn't uncommon for people to wait for exorbitant amounts of time to get service/food.

I will never return here, nor will anyone that I was with. I will have nothing good to say about this place when people ask me for recommendations. Something in this place is broken and needs fixing in a bad way. Is it the management? Is it bad employees? Is it a combination of both? I don't know and I don't care. I do know that this is the first place that I've vowed that I'll never return to...and I hope to save alot of others from making the same mistake.

Worst service I've seen in my 45 years of life. Very highly NOT...

TLDR: I have a love-hate with this place. It's not by any means GOOD for the kind of establishment that it is, but it's the best Clovis has for its role.

Review: Food: The food is OK. It's not going to blow your mind, but it's not awful. I've ordered the sweetfore burger on 3 occasions, the first time it was great, the other two times it wasn't worth getting. The French fry paradise is good pretty consistently, but the LV Philly and the salmon BLT were pretty underwhelming. For a brewery, their beers are uninspired and pretty meh. I'd rather go across the street or to Portales.

Service: I'll see my server maybe twice before the bill, and they're not very attentive. They enforce rules arbitrarily, such as smoking and IDs. There are times I haven't been ID'd, times my family members have had vertical IDs turned away, but CACs (which are a type of vertical ID) are accepted every time. If you have a vertical ID, but are 21+ bring a passport. They also are pretty bad at enforcing their supposed "No Smoking" policy for the outdoor area.

Atmosphere: They host a lot of events and the esthetic is nice, but because of poor planning/rules enforcement expect otherwise empty seats to be footrests for selfish patrons and bad seating arrangements. There are 3 picnic benches that couldn't have been placed in a worse spot for tonight's Burlesque...

Kelley’s 2.0 in the worst way imaginable. Clovis has a reputation for bad customer service, and this place isn’t doing that reputation any favors. I’ve been going here for over a year now and this place has RAPIDLY declined. From cringey theme nights with cover charges to awful service, red door on main has truly become top 2 worst spots in Clovis (and it ain’t number 2). We tried to have dinner on a Thursday night and we waited over 1.5 hours for our food. We asked our server and management several times about the status of our food and we kept getting “it’s about to come out.” At the near 2 hour mark of no food, we asked again, got the same response, and left. Management never once came up to our table to apologize or explain the situation. We had to hunt them down every time. The servers and cooks aren’t the problem, it’s the management and owner! They have taken a place with so much potential and drove it to the ground.

Bottom line- we will never be returning and it’s not worth giving this spot a try. The only reason we’ll return is if management...
