The Pickled Deli & The Parlor — Restaurant in Clovis

I’ve been wanting to go and finally made my way over there with a friend during our lunch hour. We ordered and then waited 30 minutes for our food. We didn’t have time to eat and had to go straight back. When we got back, we learned that both of our meals were wrong. One was wasted due to the Dairy on the salad. And the other was supposed to have avocado and sprouts, but there weren’t any.

The girl taking orders was annoyed and rushed and said she wasn’t sure what was on everything when we ordered. Very unprofessional and seemed bothered. Then, I was using my phone to pay and while paying she ended up leaving. No hi, bye, have a seat or anything. Just left. I stood there and finally asked another employee for further instruction and was told to wait for the food.

There was a Hispanic lady with colored hair I believe? She was very nice and apologetic and at the end another lady showed up to help and she was very apologetic. I feel like if you’re that far behind in orders, customers should be notified that it’s going to be...

Ordered a sandwich online for pickup to take up to Shaver. As far as sandwiches go it was a solid, typical deli sandwich with good, fresh bread.

I got the vegetarian sandwich with no cheese or cream cheese, making it "vegan," and was happy to see that they actually got it right and made it without the cheeses, as many places will mistakenly add cheese anyways.

Online ordering system was a little confusing, I couldn't tell if the avocado was already included in the "avo/cheese/veggie" sandwich or if I had to click the add on option for extra $. To be safe I added it, but might've overpaid not sure.

I brought my own marinated tofu to add because I wanted more protein. It would be fantastic if they added some kind of actual vegan option like this!

My daughter and i were just taking a walk and decided to stop by the peacock market to grab something to eat. We are new to the area so we haven’t tried the pickled deli so since it’s cold food i thought to ask if they take ebt. Unfortunately they didn’t have it set up yet but the owner tried doing it a different way where i could pay upfront with my ebt card but it wasn’t working. He kindly whipped up a sandwich for us and my daughter a scoop of sherbet ice cream on the house and just out the kindnesses of there hearts and no hesitation.
