This Huge City park is a convenient place to park and rest or take your kids out to the playground areas. Small basketball courts past the parking area. Ive heard Clovis used to be a peaceful nice place to live and I guess in some areas there are places. But with traffic in California there's seems to be a lot more jerks moving in or some people don't like new comers moving in. Im just witnessing more rude behaviours and people acting grumpy this past decade in the city in California. There's even more towards Fresno and then when people driving towards Clovis, drivers turn into jerks on road on other drivers. And ladies don't seem to be a fan of men like they used to. Not as many couples in the city on a day out on errand runs. There's lot more gangsters in town and there jerks on Sunnyside speeding past everyone. Looks to me like Clovis is a fan of rude behaviours even on the road. One gangster bully another vehicle and an SUV joins in for the fun of it. it's sadly common. Clovis sounds like one Big high school any more. They're still some nice Clovis people but it's slimming down in society. As for exercise there's a huge ball field for different neighbourhoods to play on. Dog park a plus it's in the middle area roughly, and pathways to walk on. In the back where multiple tables are gains litter at times but I keep walking, it's too nice outside some days. The basketball court has some hoops but that area is kinda small/. medium size. It could be updated but it works and is fun to shoot baskets. The other day parking lot was pretty full, still found a place to eat though. As for bathrooms You have to walk a distance to find any. One set of restrooms is way past the basketball courts and they're small. The restrooms are old fashion types. The others set is on the other side of park. again a walking distance you can see them from the second parking lot. This park is real old so the trees are very big & tall but still hot in summer time. Since this park is on Sunnyside street there's typically a wait to get on road again because all of Clovis drivers drive it. Driving is more dominate than walking compared to other cities. It's Close by a huge shopping Center up North. Watch out for Speeders. On any street Big SUVs & Trucks want to get to red Lights fast. Noticing a lot of other lady drivers troll driving on other vehicles meaning messing immaturely on other drivers. Saw multiple times big Chevys like to bully other vehicles on occasion for something to do. City ladies are catching up with men in getting bigger vehicles and driving like guys too. Clovis is turning into a mini L.A. More stores plazas thicker Traffic on Herndon. Have fun at the Park. the grass area is huge for soccer, baseball...
Read moreI have so many memories here. Schools of mine have done huge park days here, we've done birthdays here, large groups of my friends have overrun the park several times, and everything about the place is very cozy, and familiar to me.
It's a massive park too. It has a basketball court, a large grassy area, paths to walk around on, lots of places to set up lots of chairs, and so much more stuff that I've never even seen or used before. I think they even have a batting area! Like for baseball or something. I've never used it.
There are too many stories that I can tell of this place for one review, but one of the more interesting ones was when my school did a park day there, and one of the teachers spotted several drug dealers! For us kids it was kind of interesting, but they didn't seem very interested in anybody else. I figure we were very safe, and you probably would be too. (As long as you're not doing business with them! Then you're on your...
Read moreThis is a nice park with two playgrounds for different ages of kids. A small dog park. Picnic areas for parties.
The restrooms are always beyond disgusting due to the homeless using them as a trash can, most of the time they are overflowing.
The before mentioned homelessness is a problem as well. I have no issue with homeless people, but the ones that frequent this park leave alcohol bottles all over the place and can be confrontational at times.
Overall, I do like this park a lot. Avoid restrooms and the homeless can be a problem every once in a while but overall...
