KFC — Restaurant in Clute

My spouse and I ordered from the drive through around 8:30PM on July 10. The person taking the order kept messing up the order when repeating it back to us. I thought he must be on something. We specified dark meat only and original recipe three times for the 4pc. chicken combo we ordered for me. My spouse got a $7 fill-up meal. That was easier for him to comprehend. At the window (the new bald guy) was very polite. We got home with our order and to my surprise i got extra crispy and one huge chicken breast, one torn up biscuit, old looking macaroni. I tried to eat the drum stick but it was old and jerky like, had to spit it out. I cant stand the white meat of chicken but I tried to eat it, but it was gross as well. I called to talk with a manger but someone answered then said yeah! and hung up. Upon calling back I kept getting a busy signal. My spouse's meal was correct but bland at best. Potatoes with gravy were gross. The little apple turnovers were bland also. I have had many good experiences at this store, but it SUCKED! the other night. Based on that experience i would not recommend this KFC to anyone. That evening all the other restaurants had lines wrapped around them. KFC was empty, I guess we know why now. I love KFC! Like, really, I do, I was excited when we found out we were finally getting one. That excitement took a dive. They did not ask me original or crispy, I ordered a 3 piece meal, and they gave me 3 wings, very small wings at that. That's not what comes in a 3 piece meal. The mac n cheese must've been packed earlier in the day in the little bowl. It had a dry layer, you know like it had been without a top for a while, then once it did have a top it was put in a warmer to sweat, oh yea it had a lot of water sitting roubd the bowl edges. Made the mac n cheese taste watery. The potatoes and gravy were great. The biscuit was burnt, and I ordered an extra one. It was also burnt. I was so disappointed. I wanted original, and I did let them know that. But those 3 little wings were crispy and dry. The seating area is extremely small no where for people to stand while waiting for there food, unless your close to a different person who may be trying to sit and eat a meal at a table. I've been several times and the food has been great. There have been a few order slip ups, but when I brought it to the attention of the staff, they fixed the issues with no problem. There is a wait, but that should be expected with the sheer volume of customers they have almost non-stop. For that same reason, I wasn't too upset when my order was incorrect. With how fast they must be having to work to accommodate so many people there is obviously going to be some hiccups.

I hope people can cut them some slack and realize that as long as they're so busy, they should be prepared for a wait. I've gone a couple of times not during peak lunch/dinner hours, and the service is much faster (because there isn't 30+ customers all waiting for food at the same time.)

Also, who doesn't check their food at fast food restaurants? I don't know a single fast food restaurant that has gotten my order completely right every single time.
