I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Dunes in Cocoa Beach 9/16 and was fortunate enough to encounter an extraordinary bartender who left a lasting impression. Words cannot express the level of professionalism and skill this individual possesses.

From the moment I took a seat at the bar, it was evident that Shayla was not just an mixologist but a true artist.

However, what truly set her apart was her genuine passion for her drinks! Especially the Mojitos! She approached each drink with meticulous attention to detail. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and it was evident that she genuinely cared about providing an exceptional experience for each patron.

Not only was her technical skill impressive, but her ability to connect with customers was truly remarkable. She possesses a warm and charismatic personality that instantly made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. Her ability to engage in conversations, offer recommendations, and remember preferences created a personalized experience that went above and beyond my expectations.

Was so excited to go to here because of the pictures I’d seen but after my experience last night, I will never be back. The bartenders should definitely find another profession because costumer service isn’t for them. Not only were they rude and dismissive, but they refused to let me order at all! with the price of their drinks, you would expect quality service, but that is most definitely not the case here. The first bartender I met, I asked him if they did anything for birthdays. He rudely said no and when I went to order a drink he only served me water. He had an attitude from the moment I walked in. He served the rest of the party and even served a girl sleeping in the corner! When my sister and her friends walked in, he said now he does do a birthday shot because she “brought in all these pretty ladies”. He refused to even look at me which was extremely dehumanizing. When I went to a different bartender he asked what I wanted and when I looked down at the menu to find the name of the drink I wanted, he shooed his hands and walked away. This place doesn’t even deserve the one star...

This is a beautiful cocktail bar with a great 90s beach vibe. Beyond the beautiful decor the staff is accommodating and welcoming. Despite it being “fancy” I walked in fresh off of a beach nap after a few drinks at coconuts. Was looking for a well crafted cocktail and this did not disappoint! I got the rosy Paloma… the rose water and petals were so amazing. The grapefruit garnish was fresh and the perfect sweet/tart flavor. Next, I was offered an off-menu drink; the key lime martini. It was not sweet, it literally had a meringue top (apparently it’s from white chocolate Godiva liqueur shaken vigorously bc they didn’t use raw egg white!), it was phenomenal. One of the best drinks I’ve ever had. My less adventurous husband got a mojito. Which was delightfully murky due to some great muddling and a classic vodka club soda. Overall a super awesome spot and a welcome addition to cocoa beach’s traditional beach bar area. Can’t wait to go back next time we...
