Great Wall Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cocoa

I'm giving it two stars because usually I am mostly happy with my order. I decided to treat myself to Chinese for Christmas this year so I got the combo platter with General Tsos chicken which was okay but the sauce tasted off and most of the pieces were too chewy or hard and they only gave me three pieces of broccoli. The crab rangoon was good and usually they would give you a good size container of sweet and sour sauce and when I asked the little kid at the window he said we don't give that to you and I said you used to he said no we didn't and it's like I've been buying Chinese from this place before you were born. I don't appreciate his attitude and this is not the first time he's been snippy. I also bought two extra egg rolls and all 3 were burnt. Considering the food was disgusting and his attitude I don't think I'll be back there. It's convenient and I was always happy with my orders but they need to make some changes...

I used to cook Chinese food at Manchu Wok in Merritt Square Mall from 1996 to 2002. I was presented awards & attained certification as a cook in that establishment & I can tell you that from how this looks & tastes, its either recooked leftovers or the Wok they use is burnt, possibly rusted, NEVER cleaned between batch cooks, or BOTH.

I even tried to salvage these noodles that cost $15 by washing the lomein in a big pot of hot water, but soon as I seen the color remained after I dropped them in a pot of hot water & strained them, I knew theres no way to make these noodles edible.

This isn't poor cooking skills either, this is intentional neglect. Someone does NOT care one bit about the quality of food they put out the window. I'm actually so disgusted I couldn't even manage a call to request they attempt to fix this. I won't return & I hope this deters others from wasting their hard...

I decided to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. I was very disappointed ! I ordered a shrimp dish and wonton soup. The shrimp (3) had a very fishy taste to them and the broccoli was barely cooked. There was however a ton of fried rice..NOT ROAST PORK FRIED RICE...JUST GREASY RICE AND LOTS OF IT! This must be the enormous portions i read about. The won ton soup broth was bland and the wontons themselves had a sour taste like there were about to go bad! I threw it all in the trash !! A waste of 15 dollars which i thought was way over priced compared to my usual take out and others I've been to in the area. On top of it all the counter person / " chef" was rude and pretended not to hear me when i asked him a question. But he can clearly hear me and spoke perfect english when i asked how much it all came...
