This is an updated review because I had an unpleasant experience there today to the point where my mother noticed it too. To start with, the cashier was either new or incompetent. She made the experience of ordering VERY awkward and unpleasant. She couldn't figure out the coffee that I wanted, partly my fault and I apologized for that, but then I told her I had 2 orders because I was going to buy gift cards and she just walked away from me. So I stood there awkwardly and waited. She finally came back, but she couldn't figure out how to load the gift cards so someone had to help her. Then later when I went back for my free refill of tea she charged me for it and I had to remind her it was a free refill. Again someone had to help her. Then she argued with me in a rude, condescending way about not reusing the single use cup I had.
Baristas have told me 2 different things at this location. " We don't reuse your single use cup. " Then someone else, "We reuse your single use cup, but take the lid off."
It's OK to have a policy, but pick one and stick to it.
Then my refill took a while to get made. They were busy. I understood that, but because of the cashier 's incompetence I wasn't sure my order even went through. So I politely asked the girls about it. They looked and sounded irritated and said it would be right out. A couple minute's later the barista set my drink on the counter and said my name w obvious annoyance and didn't look at me or smile. I left there today feeling embarrassed and annoyed after having spent almost $15 on my order and $10 on gift cards.
My mother even said, "That cashier made everything hard. I don't think it was your fault. Next week let's go to the Riverstone Starbucks. "
The incompetent cashier was about 5 foot 5 with dark hair and dark skin. I think she had a pony tail. The really rude girl had dirty blonde hair and was a little taller. We came in November 7th about 1:30 PM or thereabouts.
On a positive note there's an older girl that works there who might be named Lucy. I think she's the shift supervisor. She's nice. If we give this SB another chance it will be...
Read moreI have loved going into Starbucks for years. Usually the staff is always upbeat and friendly. My favorite drink is a Passion Tea Lemonade with some added flavors along with a Chai Frap as well. We had never gone to this particular location before but we were in the area and decided to walk in and get a drink. The young man at the counter serving us ask if we had a mask we could wear. My husband said he did not and was wiling to wear the ones they had provided. I exlained that I have a medical condition that a mask henders. He said, "ok" and proceeded to take my order and then my husbands. I was about to pay for the order when a young gal comes over and demands that I wear a mask, I stated that I already had this discussion with her co-worker before ordering and that I have a medical condition. Furthermore, per Panhandle Health I am not required to provide documentation regarding my condition. She stated in so many words that regardless of the Districts rules Starbucks requires a person to wear a mask and if you can not, you can only go through the dirve through or use curbside (where you come just as close to their employee's) and you are not allowed in their stores. Courious how this works at the Starbucks locations in Safeway store, as Safeway is not kicking people out of their stores!? So I looked up both the CDA regulations and the Starbucks regulations and we were both right. Major conflict! Regardless...the young man had already asked and was content to take our orders and proceed. Her professionalism was non-existant. I have also done a lot of shopping at different Starbucks stores for Christmas gifts. That won't be happening in the future. I will also start making my own Passion Tea Lemonades at a much lower cost no less! STARBUCKS you have...
Read moreI don't claim to be a coffee connoisseur, but I have been to a few drive up coffee shops. I had gone to a few starbucks but realized I must of had other people order for me I just remember the drinks needing more flavor, I believe I had had Chi Teas. So today I decided to brave the snow and head out to get a hot drink for my husband who had been out all morning helping people with snow blowing their driveways. Hes not a big coffee drinker (I know 1st mistake) and is diabetic (also a mistake in regards to starkbucks) I assumed they'd have sugar free, they do but only vanilla, so I asked if they could make something sweet with no sugar. The girl through the speaker said they could make something that should be good. When I got to the window the total was $5.57. I ordered a tall (small) drink basically consisting of warmed milk and sugar free pumps of syrup. while I wondered why it was so much I just paid and left. I talked to my girlfriend who was a consistent starbucks customer and told her what I had ordered, she laughed and said that's crazy I was charged way too much for what I received. So please just take note I'd like to let people know who are not regular starbuck customers to make sure what the cost will be up front for drinks that aren't on the menu they will put together ridiculous add ons to charge you for an overpriced drink. Lesson Learned! Head over to the smaller pop up coffee shops they're super friendly, have lots of options plus they'll work with you and wont charge you ridiculous prices for a...
