Just ordered the Osaka bowl with rice because I can't have gluten. I guess they're finding out that the Singapore is not gluten free because of the beans in the sauce. I asked them to please make sure to tell the kitchen that I have an allergy and they didn't. They just kept telling me that after they cook the noodles on the grill they scrape it off and then oil it and then put the rice on it. Talk about cross contamination, especially when they're wearing the same gloves. My food was cold on top of it. I'm assuming that the bowl that just had rice in it sitting on the counter was the one they used. I would have went back in and gotten my money back (since it was cold) but I was starving. Now I'm regretting starving because I got glutened!!!! Pretty Please educate your employees on cross-contamination!!! Getting glutened is not fun at all. I will be having issues for days! BEWARE OF GLUTEN CONTAMINATION IF YOU EAT HERE!!! I gave three stars for service because there was one really nice gentleman but there was the same issue with him. Basically refusing to talk to the kitchen staff to make sure that I did not get cross-contaminated. The lack of two stars is because of the younger gentleman that rang up my order. Didn't seem like he wanted to do much of anything including talking to the kitchen. Last time I went in there, there was a really nice lady and she made sure to talk to the kitchen and tell them that they had to change their gloves and make sure the flat grill was completely cleaned. This will definitely be the LAST TIME I go in there! My sister-in-law has severe celiac and she usually doesn't get glutened at their other store In Spokane valley. I will have to let her know to pass this one by. If I didn't live so far away and I wasn't hurting so bad right now I would go back in and get my money back and maybe say a few choice words. I do however appreciate the one gentleman who is really tall explaining how they found out that the Singapore sauce has gluten in it. They originally thought it was gluten-free as well but I guess the juice in the bean can...
Read morePlease read the prior one star reviews. I’m posting in order to share a photo of the plastic lid that was in my “miso” soup. It was stuck to the bottom of the bowl as I ate, so I felt immediately nauseous upon discovery. The “miso” broth tasted suspiciously like chicken bouillon by the way. There was also a thin ring of oil around the edge of the bowl, typical of bouillon; not miso. The noodles were nothing special. You can buy noodles at the grocery store that have the same texture and taste. A noodle restaurant should have great noodles if nothing else. They must have a high employee turnover because the one taking the order had to ask the cook, (who should know the answer to a food-related question) who had to ask someone else in the back if noodles were included in the chicken miso dish. The cashier struggled to ring us up as she explained it was her first day, but the manager wasn’t available to help her. They were not busy. We were the only customers at that time and for about ten minutes longer. Later, when we insisted upon talking to the manager, post lid discovery, (pink hair, we didn’t see her name) she apologized as if they had merely inconvenienced us a bit (perhaps this type of thing is not unusual to them?), and explained that refunds are not allowed on anything. We were told: “It’s company policy.” We asked to speak to the manager’s manager, so she handed us a business card, went out of site and never returned. I guess that fixed everything! If you read previous reviews you will see that several people have found hair in their food. If only I had read those reviews earlier. We will...
Read moreI'd like to say how absolutely unprofessional and infuriating it is to have an order placed for delivery at the Hayden, ID location, wait over 40 minutes to have the food "made", have a driver assigned and even arrive to pick it up only for the order to then be cancelled. And when I tried to call immediately after getting the notification pop up to ask what happened no one answers and the line disconnects part way through ringing. Then to have to explain to a disappointed family that after all that waiting we aren't going to get the food we've been eagerly waiting for was just a top tier insult to injury for the situation. If the order wasn't able to be completed then why not call the person that ordered and let them know instead of pretending to make the food for over 40 minutes, wasting the delivery driver time and gas, and underhandedly cancelling on the unsuspecting customer that has people waiting all that time with no way of following up to ask about their order.
This was peak poor business practice.
UPDATE: Mustard Seed (parent company of noodle express) followed up with me today, 11/03/2025, to explain what all had happened and were very apologetic. I was very appreciative of them contacting me to make things right and discuss on potential training for the location to better handle it, if it ever happens again. Updated star ratings from...
