This place is a classic deli and as the menu over their counter says - 'name a sandwich' and they'll make it. I had a turkey club on wheat - and it was exactly as I hoped it would be. The prices here are very competitive, and any customization to my order was correct as well. I'll definitely be coming back. Service was helpful and polite. Their online ordering had malfunctioned and so my order from their website had not come through but they worked diligently to get it done and were earnestly apologetic. It is a little worn on the inside - which in a lot of ways adds to the authenticity of the place. Clearly they have been around for decades which is a testament to their business. I would love to see them have a little money / time to tidy up the joint but a full renovation would ruin its character! If they asked me, I'd tell them not to lose the 90's / early 2000's vibes under any circumstance. It is hard to find a 'NY Style' deli in a lot of neighborhoods and I am glad to have one so close. Thanks for the nice sandwich! Note: Due to the installation of a new roof on the building they were in - their sign was not up at the time of my visit, but you'll find them if you check around.

DISGUSTING- I went there today and ordered the reuben sandwich..It LOOKS JUST LIKE IT TASTE! YUCK! I took a bite and it's disgusting, the meat is old, hard disgusting and I don't think it's reuben, the sauerkraft is old and disgusting, the bread is stale and disgusting, the cheese is old and disgusting..the place is old and dirty..I gave them a chance because someone said the reuben was good, THIS IS A LIE! I will never ever come back here again. They needed to be reported for selling this nasty old meat....I ADVISE U RUN FAR AWAY UNLESS U WANT TO GET SICK OR WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I ordered macaroni and cheese and a hot sandwich, while this was for delivery and I understand that delivery is not the same as in-store, the sandwich was not wrapped in foil so by the time it got here, it was not hot. And honestly, the sandwich was so skimpy it wasn’t even worth it. I would rather pay a couple of extra dollars and get a nice fat deli sandwich than this really skimpy sandwich. I would never order from this place again. Additionally, the potato chips were soggy so overall, the experience was a fail

If I could give zero stars, I would.

My wife and I had been regular customers of New York Deli for several years, minus a few incidents that made us take a step back and re-think. The food was usually decent, especially the club sandwiches.

However, we first stopped ordering from them about a year ago after an incident where the delivery driver spit in my wife's soda. We called the restaurant to complain, and the owner was extremely apologetic, promised that the driver would be fired, etc. etc. We didn't order from them for a while after that, however, having been (I think understandably) very upset by the incident.

The second time we stopped ordering from them was because we found several hairs in with the chips that are included with every sandwich. When we called, the manager/owner refused to refund us for the sandwich because the hair "was in the chips, so the sandwich is fine." Oooookay.

Then, today, we placed an order from them (having only begun ordering from them again recently). Our food had all been placed in a cardboard box - boxes with sandwiches and sides, two fountain sodas, and straws. When I unpacked the box, I discovered a large (about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide) bug - either a beetle of some kind or a cockroach. We immediately called the third-party ordering service we use (GrubHub) to complain. GrubHub called New York Deli to request a full refund, and the owner very grudgingly refunded the cost of our sandwiches and sides, but would not refund us for the drinks, delivery fee, or tip because "everything was clean, it's safe" etc. She also, according to the rep at GrubHub, refused to take delivery orders from myself and my wife any longer, apparently because we have called them out numerous times on these type of violations that could easily get them shut down.

I highly warn anyone against patronizing them - the food is decent, but not worth the potential ick of having hair or a bug in with your food, nor having a manager/owner refuse to serve you because you have pointed out...

I work for United States Department of Agriculture and we usually patronize New York Deli. As of today that ends. A coworker warned us that they scratch their receipts and increase the price of the food by writing a new number, however we continued to order food. Today, I noticed that the price of the food was increased from 12 dollars to 14, I asked the driver why was the original price scratched out and a new price put in place. He stated that the written price is the deliver fee. I stated that a worker had mentioned that this very deal has happened to them, and I told him that it is unprofessional and that I would be calling his manager. He then calls his manager from his cell phone and shoves it in my face. I told her my problem, and she stated that she scratched out the number to include the deliver fee. I told her if that is the case then I apologize, however I find it unprofessional that the receipt is scratched out. She hangs up the phone, and the driver starts to yell at me. He says that the reason they have to scratch out and include tip is because we are cheap. Completely stunned, I say "I'm cheap?" and he continues to call myself and the building cheap and tell us that he has to pay for gas on his own. Throughout the lashing he continues to call me "little girl" (I am 25 years old). I told him that I am not going to argue with him, but instead I will write a dissatisfaction review. He says "whatever" and waves me off. At that point the security guard asks me what is going on, and he walks out of the building. The security guard at my place of employment heard the driver yelling at me and came out to intervene. After such an experience, I will NEVER give this place of business my money and I will advise the building and friends to...
