after looking for a place to eat and reading all the great recent reviews this place has i decided to try it. i was very disappointed with everything though. at first walking in there were two people working and it was completely empty, they did not say hello or even look up at the door. i had to ask if they were open and they said yes and just said “you can order here or there” pointing at the register or the self ordering station. i opted for the self ordering station and placed my nearly $12 order, got my drink, and sat down. the food came out fairly quickly and seemed warm. i got excited and started mixing everything around and realized it was cold in the middle. while trying to eat it i was biting into barely melted chunks of cheese and noodles. i got a mix of alfredo and cheddar so maybe that was it, although the alfredo sauce was still grainy and not heated right. i also noticed, a couple bites in, that they forgot the bread crumbs. i just decided to leave after that. the owner seemed to be there but i didn’t want to tell her all this in front of the workers and possibly get cold stares for the rest of my time being there. i would not recommend this place at all. cold food and bad service is not worth $12.
(edit: i never write reviews about anyplace but i would not want anyone to have the bad food/service that i...
Read moreThe concept has so much potential but this restaurant is not pulling it off. The first complaint I have is the food is crazy expensive. A bowl of Mac with a protein is $12. They give you the tiniest portion of meat that makes chipotles scoops seem generous. Ahem. Without the protein it’s $9 which is suspiciously a lot for a small bowl of pasta. I waited about 15 minutes for my food to come out. This seems like a lot of time for a chipotle style restaurant. Despite the long cook time me and my girlfriends Mac came out lukewarm. bummer. The tablet that requires no human interaction asks for a tip. Go figure. The Mac and Cheese itself was super mid. I mean a box of Velveeta Mac and cheese from the store is better then...
Read moreMy coworkers invited me out to this place and it was quite good. They give you a lot of food in a bowl, so I do wish they had bowl sizes that were smaller. However, they give you a TON of customizable options allowing you to add just about anything you want. I was surprised to find I could make an alfredo chicken bowl with tons of veggies and topped with buffalo sauce. I really liked it. This being an easy walk across the street from Texas A&M is also a huge bonus. They offer a $5 off coupon if you get their app for first timers, which helped a lot with the price. It averages $15 a person without the coupon. Oh, I also got a garlic bread which was $2 but it was pretty small and forgettable. I would just stick with the...
