I’ve always had a good experience here, except for the last couple of times, and the most recent time is the worst.
I placed an order at 9p which would be ready in 19 minutes, per the app. I arrived to the store around 9:20p, and the takeout screen said the order would be ready at 9:24p. The employee told me it would be 8-10 more minutes after that. No big deal. At 10p (closing time), still no pizza and no update. The employee finally came out and said something about crust sticking and they couldn’t get the second pizza of my order prepared. I asked for my money back at this point, and he asked if I wanted the rest of the order. I didn’t, since it had been sitting out for nearly an hour that point. I repeated that I wanted my money back. He went in back and came out again, saying he could make something else. I repeated that I just wanted my money back and I’d come back some other time. He disappeared into the back again and didn’t return, so I eventually just left, figuring I could deal with getting a refund later.
The next day, I called the store five or so times throughout the day, and the phone was never answered. I waited on hold for Pizza Hut’s customer service line for 40 minutes, and they told me they couldn’t issue a refund, but they’d put in a ticket to get one for me. Today, I did get an email from someone indicating that they’ve processed a refund.
My partner had gotten home late that evening, so we just wanted something quick for dinner without having to cook. I totally get that things happen, and that’s no big deal. But that their employee just left us in the lobby for all that time and I left with no pizza and no refund was just disrespectful. That it took so much time to get a refund from corporate is even worse.
My intent isn’t to trash this restaurant, because problems happen all the time, and they can happen anywhere. But the treatment I got was just rude and disrespectful of my time. I get that it was near closing time and I’m sure working in a fast-ish food setting must be awful, but this wasn’t OK and this location needs...

I can order from other places that we get a variety of options for the entire household. I long since stopped ordering from here but my granddaughter is visiting and asked specifically for pizza hut. Order confirmation received at 7:05pm ON A WEDNESDAY (not Friday or Saturday, not raining, or snowing... just a regular night). At 8:20 I realized it was taking a long time and called to check the status of the order. I get a message stating they are CLOSED and the call is disconnected. Sure enough Google confirms they close at 8pm. My husband calls back and speaks to someone who says they are very busy and should arrive about 10 or 15 min--odd because we live less than 10min away. Order arrives at 8:37 (an hour and a half after order) for two basic medium pizzas. How is the order delivered 40min after closing? My thought is (judging by the stiff pizza and the severely greasy box) that the food sat in the car while several deliveries were made. Read moreHad a carry out order placed (1 stuffed crust pizza) and promptly came to pick it up at this location (I live less than a mile from the Poplar location but for some reason they are closed during a Steeler game). I only ordered Pizza Hut to try their stuffed crust pizza. When I arrived the employee was on the phone with a customer who probably asked the employee 100 questions about what kind of food they sell (no fault of the worker but at this point there are 3 different people waiting for service he probably should have put them on hold). The phone orders card kept getting declined and he kept all of us waiting while dealing with that and no other employees are able to work the computer to check us out. This was frustrating but no big deal since I felt bad for the worker. I eventually got the pizza after at least 10 minute wait and took it home. Missed part of the 3rd quarter for it. I get home and open the pizza and it’s over cooked, very thin, and hard as a rock. This will be my first and last time getting Pizza Hut. Back to Papa John’s for their stuffed crust. This pizza...
