I frequent this Pyros at least twice weekly, but I am heavily considering going to another location after the experience I had here the other night. My wife and I were on our way back from a movie and decided to stop at this location since we were hungry. The employees making my pizza were a joy, as always. Girl on the register was sweet and made my wife laugh. It started off quite enjoyable. We sat down and waited for our food to be brought to us. The gentleman who brought our food to us just dropped them as quickly as he could on the table and ran back to the station where they pick up the food. There wasn't any food to be brought to the other customers, but he obviously had something very important to do on his cellphone as opposed to smiling at us and setting our meals down in a proper manner in front of us. My wife and I realized he was not dressed like the other employees, so we figured out he was a manager. I have never seen this manager until now, but he was not very attentive to what was going on around him. My wife wanted to get us a beer each so she waited at the hydration area and waited for the manager to hopefully notice she was standing there waiting to be helped. She stood there for close to 5 minutes before the girl working that station had finished cleaning up after some people who left a rather large mess at a table outside of the view of the hydration station. Meanwhile, the manager seemed quite into whatever he was doing on his cell phone, leaning on the counter where the pizzas get put up, acting like there is nothing important at all going on around him. It'd be one thing if this gentleman didn't know how or couldn't serve the alcohol (he probably shouldn't be a manager if this is the case), but he was blatantly not attentive to any needs of the customers or the employees under his watch. We got our beers and enjoyed the rest of our meal. The food is always great at every Pyros. My wife had a little pizza left and wanted to take it home so she could take it to work the next day for lunch. I got up and walked over to where to togo boxes usually are, but there was one left and it was broken. The person closest by was, you guessed it, the manager at the pizza pickup station. And he was still on his cellphone. I asked him if he could get me a togo box. Without even looking at me, he just says "They are next to the Coke machine." He then immediately grabbed his phone and walked into the back kitchen area. This, for me, was the final straw. I got the attention of a young man behind the counter and he handed my one of their cardboard boxes because at this point business had picked up and he obviously did not have time himself to go get a new bunch of the styrofoam boxes. Amidst the business, this manager was nowhere to be seen. We left there with multiple dirty tables and the girl on Hydration was running around on her own trying to get the dining area straightened up. This manager STILL was nowhere to be seen.
I went to this Pyros because it was the embodiment of what I enjoyed about the experience of going there, but now it seems like the only worthwhile thing here is the food, aside from the sterling customer service of the young kids who work there. But if this is who runs the store, it's only a matter of time before that disappears as well. I think my wife and I will try our luck at a different Pyros location, or maybe even a new...
Read moreI visit this Pyro's with my family just about once a week after visiting The Joint in the same shopping center. The service quality is generally inconsistent unless the assistant manager is here, unfortunately, and he wasn't here tonight. My daughter wanted to try the frittata after I described it to her, and I ordered the skillet which I've been getting for about a month. When the girl taking my order came back with to small red bowls and no skillet, I was confused. I'd never ordered a frittata before, but they use the bowls to put the cheese in one and toppings in the other, and then they add the stuff to the skillet with the egg mixture later. When I said I was confused because I'd ordered a skillet and a frittata, she brought out 2 more bowls. I watched as a few toppings that I requested were put into the bowls, still not understanding how they built the frittata until I got down to the guy that was putting in my veggie toppings and I said something about this not being how they usually do the skillet. It clicked with him what I was actually trying to order, and he fixed things quickly. But it was pretty confusing overall, and this isn't the first time that it has been made clear that the staff doesn't understand what a skillet is even after I've seen the assistant manager explain it to a few people. Unfortunately for me, none of them were here tonight to prevent this from...
Read moreRude employees. Dirty tables. Pizza brought out before it was even fully hot. My buzzer never went off. Despite the fact that I told the girl at the cashier every ingredient on my pizza when she asked they still had no idea it was my pizza and were going around the restaurant asking people if it was theirs. I had to ask if it could be cooked longer. Then they forgot to get it back out and nearly burned it. I had to go back and ask for it to be removed from the oven.
When I had first arrived I was standing by the cashier waiting to be helped and didn’t realize where the line actually started. The girl working didn’t even acknowledge me or bother to let me know where to go.
Getting the pizza made was equally frustrating. For example- I said the Canadian bacon was the only meat I wanted and asked for a lot of it. The guy proceeded to put an extra 2 pieces on at this point. I had to ask 2 more times if he could put more on and each time just got 2 more tiny pieces. Then when I said I wanted to roasted garlic he grabbed a huge handful of it and if I hadn’t stopped him he would have entirely ruined my pizza.
Get better employees. Most of these were entirely unmotivated. There was 1 girl working there who was sweet, helpful, and competent. The rest clearly did NOT want to be there and did less than the bare minimum...
