I love this Wawa. I almost daily go to this Wawa every morning around 5:30-5:45am before heading to work to get a sandwich and a coffee. The staff is always friendly and nice. Even the manager, at least I think he’s the manager. I do not know his name but every time I go in there he’s always in a good mood, super friendly and from what I’ve seen very nice to the staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Always jumps in to help when there is a line. All the staff do it. One of the best Wawa’s around in my experience.

I wrote the above review 3 years ago. And my opinion has changed since then. I have had issues with this Wawa for the past year. Which has nothing to do with the employees its self. I went there recently and I put my order in through mobile cause I was on my way to work. So it would just be a quick grab, pay and go to work. I placed the order in time through the app and gave it enough time. Cause I know how it is to be short staffed which I have been noticing a lot going into this Wawa. So I ordered an Lyft ride thinking It would be a quick grab and run out and go to work. Mind you I put the order in 15-20 minutes ahead of me leaving my apartment. It’s on the way to work. So I leave work get to the Wawa and go pay for my order and grab a breakfast sandwich. I go pick up my iced coffee and it’s not done. Again I don’t fault the employees who were understaffed but there was ample time to make the iced coffee. No the coffee wasn’t made, I asked an employee about the order and he looked confused and I guess they were trying to figure out what was going on.
I waited a few more minutes and the employee asked me to go place the order again on there screens. I literally was already there long enough, I couldn’t technically wait for them to make another one. So I asked them if I could just cancel the order. I was told to go to the cashier. Again I’m a little prideful when it comes to my attendance and being on time at work. I’m never late as a manager myself. So I went to the cashier for ask for a refund. They told me they couldn’t give me a refund for the iced coffee and that I had to do it through the app. They tried to get a manager to come to the front but I was told they were busy. I literally was already late and just left. I had already waited long enough and decided to leave after trying to go the app and request a refund which the app clearly won’t give me any way of requesting a refund. I did submit a request through the customer service online and hopefully I can get a response. It was a measly $4-5 for the iced coffee. But this Wawa had always been my go to dor my morning breakfast on my way to work. Will it deter me somewhat? Yeah maybe cause now I don’t think I can trust that this will happen again. I don’t blame the employees they work. I know how it is to be understaffed. This was just a big...
Read moreTonight I was at the Wawa on 420 and MacDade. While there, I tried to fill my tires, but the pump was broken. This ended up flattening the tires of the people in front of me (they circled around before they realized it) and then mine. This in and of itself isn’t a problem. Things break. It happens. Where this Wawa missed the mark was the manager and his lack of response. Upon going in to report the problem, he told me “Not their problem” and “There’s nothing they can do about it.” After working in hotels for my entire career, I’ve learned the importance of EMPATHY, of which this manager had NONE. He didn’t offer to help, he didn’t try to fix it, he didn’t even show remorse that the situation occurred. He came out, didn’t acknowledge either of the drivers whose cars had flat tires, put a bag over the pump, and went bad inside. This was absolutely unacceptable. Luckily, a Good Samaritan heard my plight and had a portable air pump in his car to help me. He wasn’t a Wawa employee… but a customer. A CUSTOMER treated me with more respect and empathy before he even helped me than the manager did...
Read more(This is for store #8007 on Chester Pike - Google has this all screwed up!) I am so disgusted. During my purchase, the cashier took a bag, placed it on the counter, and put my receipt on top. I was just getting a hoagie and didn't need the bag, so I said "thanks, I don't need that." As I walked off, she took the bag, took 2 steps, and THREW IT AWAY. When I stopped and stared, she asked if something was wrong. I asked if she'd thrown that bag away, and she replied 'yes', like I was growing a second head. I was so shocked! I told her I'd left the bag there, because I didn't need it at home, and didn't need to add to the garbage. Then she smiled a nasty smile and said "Have a nice day", just as bitchy as she could. ?!?!?!?!?!?!? So much for Wawa caring about the environment, and saving money, and saving MY money. Heck, she ought to just take money out of her own wallet and throw that away; because every time she does that, she's wasting money Wawa could use to give good employees a raise! Oh wait, that doesn't...
