Good evening Google Family. I visited this Aldi location for the first time today. I have visited the location in Lansdowne, but this is the first time I have visited this location. I have never been a fan of Aldi bc of the lay out of the store, the fact that they don't have some things that I need and I have to end up going to another store like Shop Rite or Walmart or Giant. I was told to come here since I eat and purchase so much produce. Many folks have told me to shop here. Well, now, here I am. When I saw my receipt and how inexpensive their produce is, I wanted to skip and jump. What a bargain, $15.00 for all the stuff I bought. This is now my go to store for all my produce. All that money I wasted at Shop Rite, Giant and Walmart. But also Aldi reminds me of Save a Lot because of the store's layout. I did not Iike Save a lot since I always had to go to another store since they never had everything I needed on my shopping list. Save a lot was good for meats but that's about all. Here at Aldi, I didn't like that you need a quarter to get a cart, I remember that same fact about Pathmark. What if you didn't have any change. I was grateful that I had one quarter in my purse. I asked about cash back and thank goodness they do cash back, even though on the register it says no cash back. So I was thankful to get $40.00 back. No customer service and no Aldi rewards card. I asked the Aldi young lady associate and she said no Aldi rewards card yet and no customer service. I asked what if you have a complaint. She said they handle it. The Aldi associates do everything.. They are a one man show. I purchased mainly produce and Orange juice. I will be back to shop here again. Good night Google Family and don't forget to work out. They need better ink for the Aldi receipts. You can barely see them. Also the location on City Line Avenue has self checkout and this location does not. I will be glad when they do, more convenient for...
Read moreHadn't been in ALDI in a while since the new renovations. Went in on 9/26/18 and was instantly Amazed! New modern look, MORE variety / LARGER selection of products, fresh fruits, veggies and meats, well stocked shelves but with SAME great reasonable prices which is the most important part for working families in todays economy, couldn't have been more pleased! I will be making ALDI my primary go to place for groceries. One thing I hope they consider however, is that on a weekday evening about 6 pm, and on weekends during the day, there deffinetly needs to be more than JUST ONE register open. A line begin to go down the isle waiting to check out, that day 2 customers left their groceries and walked out. That was sad. At least put an express line in, it would be a GREAT idea. People with a few things have to stand behind people with carts full of things. Doesnt seem to make much sense. Aldi has always had this issue i hope my idea brings change. Also ALL of the fresh flowers were dead which was disappointing bc my young son had a first date and we took a trip on 9/29/18 specifically to buy flowers for the young lady. Although we did purchase other items...I had to use gas to go to another place to purchase subpar flowers at a higher price. The cashier told me they are supposed to recv flowers daily and apologized. Flowers had not been delivered in what looked to be a good week per their dead appearance and smell. Overall I still would give ALDI on Macdade...
Read moreI am giving it only 4 stars. I was very pleased with the cashier, I have one hand from a horrific car crash, she was so helpful. I wish I could remember her name. I like to give credit where it is due. She made it a good experience. It has been many years since I was inside an Aldi. They are carrying there own brand of food, drinks and snacks. I bought several items that I have been eating this week. Some I really like. Some I gave away. They are carrying a large amount of German food and snacks. I am accustomed to the German food and snacks having lived in a German area up north from where I live now. I was like a kid in a candy store with my own money to spend and spend I did. I was with a friend who eats a lot of rice and she found 5lbs bags around 3 dollars a bag. I am not familiar with cooking rice. She was happy to get the kind she is used to eating for such a good price. We both had a good experience, pleasant surprise from what I remember about Aldi. I have to say the bags you have to buy if you don't have your own are half the size and not the same quality as I used to get. I never minded paying for their bags because I got so much use out of them. The overly dry fig bars and the decrease in the quality of the bags I paid more than before are the only downside of my experience with the Aldi I shopped in, in...
