After waiting over an hour with no drink refills, and no “all you can eat” spaghetti (which we came for) our party of 9 decided to cancel our order and go somewhere els. When we informed a waitress (who was not ours) we were told to see the front desk concerning our bill (for the 2 beers one appetizer sized pizza and 3 salads we had received). When we made the statement that we should AT LEAST be comped for what we had received we were told “no you consumed it, you pay for it” we then further argued our point. The response was “fine get out and don’t come back.”
That is totally unprofessional and disrespectful. So we made a point to mention it to our waitress and ask for the manager. Our waitress told us the individual we had spoken to WAS the manager, and she then told us we owed for what we had received and she had voided the food “we didn’t want”….we did want it, about an hour and (at this point) 45 minuets ago….she became very aggressive and demeaning asking me personally if I knew “what the word voided meant”, and to tell me “if you are going to yell at me then go stick your head in the kitchen window and yell at them”
I was not yelling. And I informed her of that.
We were told not to return to Joes Pizza in Collinsville.
Moral:
Don’t come to joes pizza if you: -want any kind of a service -want your meal -want drink refills -like a waitress to pay attention to the needs of a table with 9 people. -desire any common decency and respect
Come to joes pizza if you: -Don’t need a refill -don’t know what the word void means -Want to get up to get you own CRACKERS To feed the hungry 2 year old at the table, while waiting well over an hour for spaghetti (in the meantime all other tables around you are receiving their orders) -enjoy a wait staff and “manager” with possible anger issues and no respect for the general public. -want to waste an evening waiting on food that never comes, only to have to battle your way out of the building with no apologies, no compensation, and no respect.
I plan on VOIDING my business indefinitely...
Read moreFirst of all, I've only been to a Joe's once before. It was so long ago, though, that I had forgotten the experience. I have just moved to a new area, though, with new delivery services, so i figured I'd give them another try. I only ordered two items, with minor adjustments. The baked mostaccioli for $9.99, and an appetizer of breaded meat ravioli, $6.69. I ordered garlic bread as a side, and replaced the side salad with more garlic bread. I also added meatballs to my pasta for an extra $2.50. All together, my meal averaged out at about $20 after tax, and after the delivery fee, $24 and change. I tipped the driver $6, and overall paid about $30 and change. A bit pricey for 2 items, but if they were good, I'd chalk it up to excellent service fee. It took about 45 minutes to arrive, as they had claimed, so I was ok with that. Everything looked wonderful. Beautiful and golden brown, I was excited to eat. The ravioli was awesome. No complaints. I'd eat it as a full meal if I could, but there weren't enough to make a whole meal, maybe about 10 individual ravioli with a side of marinara for dipping. The pasta was terrible. The noodles were overcooked, the sauce was beyond sweet and had none of the tartness expected from any tomato based sauce, and I didnt recieve my meatballs, despite paying extra for them. Whatever, I ate it. I did, however, remove the baked mozzarella on top before eating. By the time the food had arrived, the cheese was barely warm and was gummy. I then tried the garlic bread. It looked delicious, but tasted altogether unappetizing. It had plenty of butter, but almost no garlic flavoring, and was soft. There was no crunch or crispiness to the crust. So, although it was disappointing, that could be just the day they were having. However, I will not be going back for pasta again. Maybe I'll try the pizza, but the pasta was too much of a...
Read moreVery disappointed in our experience this evening. First, the website would not let us order on line. My husband called the order in at 6:15. The young lady said it would be 20 minutes and that they were not crowded. At 7:00 pm I called just to follow up and was told the pizza was out for delivery. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The young lady called back around 7:30 and said she had made a mistake and had marked the pizza and mozzarella sticks for pickup. She said the pizza was being delivered now. We requested the food be remade since it had been sitting there. She said they would. When the food finally arrived it was cold. My husband called back and asked for a refund. He was offered a credit to Joe's but we won't order from there again. The young lady was incredibly rude with him. He asked to speak to a manager. She said she would get him, 20 minutes later after waiting on the phone she says he doesn't speak English well. My husband said no problem. I would still like to speak with him. The manager said no problem he would refund our money. We assumed he would have refunded our card but no. Their driver showed up at our house 10 minutes later with cash and asked for the cold food back. This is unfortunate because we normally enjoy their food. However, tonight customer service was not only terrible but unacceptable. I am only posting because the last few times we have ordered from Joe's in Collinsville there has been something wrong with our order. No big deal but this evening was uncalled for. Such a shame that Joe's lost customers because of...
