It is in an old train station building, that would probably have been razed if Los Tres Hermanos wasn’t paying the light bill. Not much happening in Hominy, just dilapidated vacant buildings and rusting oilfield equipment, abandoned evidence of the bustling oil boom days. Many of the city lots are covered with decaying antique iron dinosaurs, which are now worth more in scrap steel value, than the land it occupies. The men that operated the equipment are long gone, as is the wealth they made from the effort. Two cop cars sitting in the burned-out corner convenience store parking lot. Officers talking to each other to keep from falling asleep from the boredom. Even the Dollar General appears to be barely making it; similar to the cell phone service that fades in and out, almost nonexistent. Traffic delays from road construction on the edge of town, forces life to slow down even more. Welcome to Hominy Oklahoma.
In a town by this name, you would think the Mexican restaurant would have Pozole. Nope. Los Tres Hermanos makes up for it though with a great small town OkieMex menu covering just about everything else. The service was acceptable. Some of the food items were exceptional. Those will be emphasized. Check the pictures. The meals are identified there.
The red salsa was good. The green salsa was spectacular. Fresh tomatillos, jalapenos, onion, cilantro and other spices, blended to perfection. Pick out a spoon shaped chip and fill it to capacity. Delicious. Next up the perfect crispy, flavorful carnitas in the enchiladas. These were done right and then covered with a tangy green sauce. An unbeatable combination. I ordered my enchiladas with half green sauce and half chili. The chili was very good. If they sell it by the bowl, get it. Everything else on the plate was fresh and mildly seasoned. My only criticism was the temperature of the food and plates. They were properly warm, but they needed to spend more time in the broiler. The cheese on my wife’s enchiladas needed more time in the heat, as did the cheese filling in my enchiladas.
The carnitas filled enchiladas, with the green sauce, is the winning meal here. For a perfect start to the meal, ask for the green salsa to scoop up with the crispy chips.

Read moreI can’t speak on the service or atmosphere as I had my food delivered, but I can say this was some of the most bland and boring “Mexican” food I’ve ever had. My wife and I grew up in Southern California so we know what good Mexican taste like, and we’ve had plenty of good Mexican in Oklahoma, this isn’t it. I was intrigued by Los tres hermanos because online the entire menu is in Spanish, that got me thinking “hey, they must have some authentic stuff if it’s all in Spanish”. I decided to order the combination fajitas, which seemed like way too good of a price. Normally if you’re getting supreme fajitas it’s 20$ or more and here it’s listed as 14.99$. I got double steak and shrimp and corn tortillas. I also ordered fajitas nachos and the I got chips and salsa. I’ll start by saying I never even received corn tortillas, luckily I had my own at home. The salsa tasted like any generic mild salsa at the grocery store. Wasn’t good or bad just bleh. The price for the fajitas was because even though you’re paying for the supreme you barely get any meat. I got 8 shrimp and enough steak for just two corn tortillas. It was mainly a big tray of peppers and onions. Food was bland tasting, again nothing special you can cook better at home. The fajitas nachos again were bleh, old chips with barely any chicken and again mainly just peppers and onions on top. I also got two sides of charro beans and only received one, and this is the only part of the meal I spit out. It was disgusting. I’d recommend el tequila in Owasso if you’re close enough and don’t want to go into Tulsa, if not...
Read moreDO NOT order from here through GrubHub. It took me two hours to get my order and when I called to see if a driver had picked up my food I was passed around to 4 different employees. When I finally did speak to who I think might have been manager, I asked her if they had my order and can they see if someone has picked it up yet and her response was “I don’t know, we have a lot of orders.” I said well it says I paid with my card so can you please double check for my name, she told me to hold on with a rude attitude. She then told me they never got my order, 10mins later my food shows up. I think the customer service was definitely lacking, the online ordering needs to be reevaluated and improved especially if they’re going to allow GrubHub to be a delivery service for them. I also feel very upset and wronged by this company that they could not verify they got my order at all. I don’t plan to spend my money here again, bad service makes a lasting impression no matter how good the food is, which I will say was really good. I was just disappointed in how I was treated and spoke to...
