Shanghai Express — Restaurant in Collinsville

Not really sure why I'm giving 2 stars and rating all categories 1 BUT, we waited half an hour for take out expecting fresh food and the only positive thing i can say is yes, the entrees were fresh. All fried food (eggroll, sweet and sour, and wontons) were terrible. I'd assume dirty grease. The sweet and sour chicken had obviously been sitting in a warmer for awhile and was dry and tough. I specifically ordered the triple fragrance and the sauce was so dark and over cooked I could hardly tell what I was looking at. The best part of our order would have to be the egg drop soup and it's hard to mess that up. The young lady taking our order was young and very inexperienced. She had inappropriate conversations with who I'd assume to be a partner in the dining area while we waited and made me uncomfortable with her food handling and customer service skills. Im sorry but I’m not sure how this place has 4.2 stars. The food was incredibly greasy. The noodles were oily with hardly any vegetables. The honey chicken was dry and the “fried rice” was not fried rice. Maybe it’s because there’s not a lot of Chinese food options in the area but this was honestly terrible. My husband barely touched his plate and what he did eat…. Well it made him sick. Place has gone down hill. The food is really good, but the last four times we've ordered, we've ended up sitting there forever (well over the quoted time) for our food. Tonight, we were quoted 40 minutes for our order. Showed up after 35, and there were still 7 orders ahead of ours to be made. Waiting room was full, and we didn't have time to wait for over an hour, so we canceled. It's unfortunate because this used to be my favorite Chinese food in the Owasso area.
