Lottie's Cafe — Restaurant in Collinsville

This is the second time I came to this cafe and both times was a nice experience.

1st time i went the staff were sitting out front smoking right in front of the cafe. I would relocate that activity to a more acceptable location this way you're not dragging cigarette smoke i to your non-smoking customers faces.

Otherwise, the staff at both visits was friendly. I appreciated the guy at the bar this time around. He liked my elf earbuds and tild me about some local anime events which was helpful since I'm new to the area.

I can see people come here often and become regulars which is always a good sign that the place has created a local hangout home. The others at the bar were pretty social and we sat spread out but still kept a nice local neighbors type conversation going which made me feel welcomed. I even got a nice head knod from the elder gentleman sitting in the corner.

Overall, a great experience and I'll keep coming back when I have my Dr appointments for...

I believe I found the place to fill a void in my life. My wife and I stumbled into Lottie's accidentally after hitting the small Walmart next door. Just trying to play a couple slots while we didn't have the kids. But when we walked inside the atmosphere was not what we expected. Walking in there were patrons sitting at dining tables with amazing looking, elaborate dishes. Not a bag of chips from a "snack bar" joint but a full blown menu with a breakfast page that's served ALL DAY!! OMG. Just past the happy folks eating their delicious food, was a full service bar with a welcoming bartender engaging us right away and telling us about the benefits of Lottie's. This place completely impressed my wife and I. The background music was loud enough to enjoy while conversations with others could still be heard. My inner Gordon Ramsey came out, lol. When I saw the sign that it also had slot machines, it did change my mind to walk away. However, I was hungry, and we were already there. It's a small place, popular with the locals. Fast and friendly staff. The hot coffee is delicious. It definitely did not taste like the ordinary cheap dirt coffee you get everywhere else. We took a while to decide what to order. Everything on the menu looked and sounded delicious. I recommend the BLT, or anything that is served with the wheat berry bread. Yummy! The hashbrowns were also excellent and did not taste frozen. Lightly seasoned and creamy. Excellent addition to any meal. The Breakfast Stromboli appeared to be delicious. Honestly, it was bland, and the dough was soggy. The atmosphere was ok, could use a good cleaning. Dust on everything and dead bugs in the window. Overall, it was a decent little hole...
