We ordered 2 large peanut butter shakes. Did not taste them until getting home which takes about 8-15 minutes depending on traffic. My husband tried his right as we got in the house and said it tasted like just watered down milk. So I tried mine and it was the same. So we fed our dogs and back to sonic we went. Told the guy at the window and then another man appears. I tell him what the issue was and he told me that there was nothing he could do because it had been over an hour. I let him know that it was nowhere near an hour so he said it's been 45 minutes. (It had barely been 30 minutes) so I asked him if he knows how to tell freaking time. He said yeah and that the shakes get watered down after sitting. I explained there was no flavor so it wasn't from them sitting. I told him to try it and see himself and he replied that he doesn't eat ice cream. We never drink them right away and have never experienced this issue from there. I was highly irritated by then because he kept saying there was nothing he could do. So I asked for corporates number or someone over him. Then he said he could give me my money back. So we left and drove to the Edwardsville sonic and received excellent customer service and shakes (cheaper also) I will also add that the only person wearing a mask properly at collinsville was the guy that took our order. By the time I had gotten to the drive-thru, I realized that I had left my debit card in my Aldi bag from earlier today. I asked if I could come back later to pay and at first, the cashier said I could. So, I waited at the window for a few minutes, then he opened the window and stated that I wasn’t getting the food, because it was against policy. The manager could have taken a photo of my driver’s license and allowed me to pay (the $13) when I got home, over the phone or allowed me to come back at a later time to pay. There’s no compassion for hard working people anymore. I work full-time to support my family. I was good for the money and never intended to get anything for free, I was just trying to feed my son. After paying twice as much for my order since I had to order thru the drive thru ( all stalls where closed) I had to wait another 5 mins for the sauces that I specifically asked for with my order of chicken strips and other sides that really should come automatically but I understand upon request but either way I requested and got none. The employee was way to concerned with playing than doing his job. When the Sonic app asked for my comments in the small print says "we will read your comments but can not answer everyone".
