Sweet Dreams Bakery — Restaurant in Colma

In one sentence, decent flavor but not worth the price.

Sweet Dreams Bakery is a nice mom and pop shop that’s pedestrian friendly and has pick/take out only. It is quite pricey at 3.75 per cupcake and are on the smaller side. Not quite instagram worthy, but there is fair attention to the flavor profile. However, anyone can get as good if not a better product at your local Trader Joe’s for a fraction of the cost.

Almond Brittle cupcake: Basic vanilla sponge base, with a lightly sweetened whipped cream. But the almond flavor is nonexistent and only present in the name.

Pumpkin cupcake: Nice pumpkin flavor permeating the cake and the cream cheese nutmeg frosting had a great consistency with a very balanced sweetness. Still not worth 3.75 when the same thing can be found at Trader Joe’s for a far...
