Lucky Garden — Restaurant in Colonial Heights

The place was clean , don't get me wrong , but they had a lunch buffet before COVID and the setup is still there , including the labels for the food and sign with price of the buffet . I got an Orange Chicken combo and a Sesame Chicken combo , neither of which I'd purchased from them since COVID . The smell of everything inside the dishes smelled just like they used to way back when . I recently went here for the first time, I was looking forward to it because some of the reviews were so good. I ordered Hunan beef. I thought that I didn't see a Chinese person in the back cooking, but I could be incorrect. Well the food tasted kinda bland & it didn't seem to have the texture as at other places. Ive been going here for years. Always fast. Orders always correct. Even willing to customize orders against the menu. Haven't had one item on the menu I didn't like.

I do wish they'd bring back the $5 lunch buffet but its still treated like 2019 covid there.
