Delicious delicious delicious food!! This gem of a restaurant was recommended by a Honduran friend and so my other Honduran friend and I decided to check it out. The restaurant got 3 stars as default because her face lit up when we went in and the server greeted her in Spanish, and when she looked at the menu. This is NOT an upscale restaurant. But, to the Indian in me, it reminded me of home, just with Spanish-speaking people. The menu is legit. My friend pretty much picked out 10 different things that we had to try because this is what she eats back home! But we narrowed it down to 3. To start with, the horchata was delicious! I've had some great horchatas in California and this was definitely at par. For food, we got the pollo con tajadas, pupusas and the pastelitos. And it was all REALLY GOOD. Trying to be unbiased here, so I can't choose but the pastelitos were my favorite because they reminded me of good samosas. The pollo con tajadas is a plate of chicken marinated in a delicious flavorful sauce (think along the lines of the Indian chicken curry) on a bed of fried plantains, salad and pickled onions. The whole thing was very well-made. The chicken was perfectly cooked and just spicy enough to be enjoyed with the plantains. The plantains were, surprisingly (because I don't like plantains), very good too! But I definitely preferred them soggy with the beautiful curry from the chicken. The pastelitos are basically empanadas or karanjis (for the Maharashtrian indians reading this) but stuffed with a savory filling. We had the option of chicken or beef with potatoes. We got beef with potatoes. The sauce that came with it to dip them, the powdered cheese and the salad altogether made an excellent bite. Even the next day, it tasted delicious! They gave a mint/coriander based chutney with the chicken but it tasted better with the pastelitos and the pupusas. The pupusas were much bigger than what my friend is used to. They are basically stuffed parathas. We got the ones with cheese. The melted cheese in the pupusas with the chutney, salad, onions and the dip was another smashing hit. All in all, this was a great meal! Their portions are huge. We took half of it home. But honestly, this place reminded my friend and me of our respective homes and that is a feeling you cannot forget. We will be back! P.S. their refried beans are amazing and they have the actual hot sauce used in Honduras!

Delicious food. My wife and I ate here and we ordered the Anafre, which was a delicious chip dip. The horchata was really good. The mexican asada and al pastor tacos were good. We ordered a sampler platter which was enough for 3-4 people with 4 different meats, we had plenty of leftovers. The pupusa was quite good and the tomato sauce was a good compliment. Great place to eat latin american foods. Update after 3 more visits: Ordered carnes asada with sausage. The sausage was spicy and delicious. The carne asada was soft, tender, and awesome. Grabbed a banana smoothie, and they uses real bananas which made the taste phenomenal. I ordered the grilled chicken and it was very tasty. Al pastor tacos are still on point. The tostada was cruncy, but I wish there was pico de gallo for every bite. **2022-October-09** The food is as delicious as ever, no drop in quality at all. Wait staff are very friendly and extremely happy!

We've eaten at Angie's quite a few times and always had good experiences. The owner is always friendly and checks on how the food was, which is nice. Parking is usually a bit of a challenge, as the restaurant is kind of tucked back into a small strip mall, but we've never had to park a long way away. The restaurant is consistently tidy and clean. We've had mixed experiences (mediocre to very good) with the wait staff, but never bad. The important part: the food is always very consistently good. This is a favorite restaurant of ours and if it means anything to you: the friends that we go to this restaurant most often with are a Guatemalan and Honduran couple and this is their favorite place to eat...for me, when a Honduran restaurant can stand up well to the critiques of the natives, I know it's good! I can't recommend Angie's highly enough! (The Pollo con Tajadas dish is my favorite)

DELICIOUS FOOD, SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE, GREAT PRICE, WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

After dining twice and once to go order, I must leave a review because this Honduran restaurant is phenomenal! The food is really, really delicious, and the service is "SUPERB". First time dining in few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Fernand the cool incredibly friendly owner's son and Mayra, my attentive waitress. Mayra was incredibly accommodating in explaining the menu, and providing recommendation, I ended up ordering the Fried Chicken, Quesadillas, Pupusas (yum, yum, yum), and another dish can't remember the name to taste the variety of their entrees. Second time was a to go order, and I had their exotic juice, Fried Tilapia, a pork dish, Fried Green Bananas, they were "EXCELLENT", love the fresh ingredients, variety of sauces they provide, and well prepared.

Today dining in, I requested for the Green Bananas to be double fried. I even got to meet the Chef which was special, because she wanted to ensure she understood my request and it was cooked to perfection. I even met the owner Mr. Willmer today. He was making his round in the restaurant, genuinely nice ensuring all the customers were happy, satisfied, well taking cared of, and open to answer any questions. Wow! It's nice to find a family oriented restaurant like this where many people comes in for to go orders.

Huge Thanks to all the customers who left previous stellar positive reviews regarding this gem of a place. I can't thank you enough because I found an amazing place to dine in Colorado Springs that offers delicious "Honduran" cusine FULL OF FLAVORS, superb customer service, and what a bargain when it comes to prices. I'm retired Air Force and a private Contractor. I've experienced lots of ethnic foods working and traveling around the world the last 32 years to name a few places, Italy, Australia, Greece, Afghanistan, Bahamas, Hungary, Iraq, Ecuador, Jamaica, Germany, Thailand, Switzerland, Haiti, Ireland, Cuba, Dubai, Phillipines, Canada, Mexico, Turkey etc. Angie's Latin Food is a hidden gem right here in Colorado Springs! You will not go wrong if you decide to give this wonderful restaurant a try. You'll end up being like all the previous happy customers who left positive reviews. My favorite is the Fried Chicken, Double Fried thin Green Bananas (special request), the spicy green sauce is to die for, pickled onions, and the great music vibe. Sorry for the long review, but Angie's Latin Food A+++ deserves this...

I’ve been coming here for the past four years. I usually take my food to go, but yesterday we decided to dine in with my family. We waited 50 minutes to get our food. The waitress never came back to take my order for the drink I wanted it or check if everything was ok. When we got home, my husband felt sick with stomach pain and ended up throwing up. Today I called the owner to express my concerns and she said no one has ever called her about any issues with her restaurant because it’s clean. I was not concerned about the cleanings of the place. I was just surprised that the food made my husband sick and I wanted to let her know. She didn’t seem to care and said I’m sorry, but what do you want me to do? It just seemed like she did not even believe what I was telling her. Then I said most restaurants when things like this happen they give you a refund or a meal replacement. She said when you come back to the restaurant, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Are you kidding me? This place is a joke. I’ll never go back. I’m not looking for free food. You just lost...
