I ordered a pizza at 8:34 online per email confirmation. They have a tracking option, so I opened it. It showed it was on its way 20 minutes later. I only live 2 miles down the road. To my surprise, I got a text from a DoorDash driver @. 9:07. He was having difficulty finding the building I live in. It happens! He got to my door it was around 9:10. He was sincerely upset and apologized. The thing is, although it's been a while, I have never had DoorDash deliver my pizza from Marco's before.... needless to say I was surprised. My pizza was cold!! First, I thought it was because of the delivery. But once I started checking out the times, I realized that although it took a bit to get to me, the pizza could not have been very warm when it left the shop. It's too bad, it looked pretty good! I don't like reheated pizza!! The toppings were actually all placed very well around the pizza. I called Marco's and the gentleman that answered sounded agitated, but talked politely with me. I'm pretty sure he had a bad night. He apologize for the cold pizza. I asked him when they started using DoorDash. He told me a few months ago for when they have a lot of deliveries, but not enough drivers. I told him he should let his boss know that that's not working and I never had good deliveries from them. He said they really don't like it either. I'm pretty sure they get a lot of complaints. And with like with any other company, the higher-ups either don't know or don't care. It's quite a shame! I told him that I would just keep the pizza and heat it up. Unfortunately, for me at the time, I didn't know that the crust was already overcooked. You win some and you lose some! I won't be ordering delivery from here again....
Read moreI called my order ahead. Asked for the specials. The guy told me what they had. I asked about a certain one, and he said they weren't doing it anymore. Fine. I ordered anyway. They said 15 minutes and I got there in 14. Told the person at the counter my order name. I asked about the special as there was a poster of it on the wall, and she said it was still a good offer. Ugh. She brought my pizzas. I noticed that the salad wasn't prepared, so she went in the back to make me one. I got home and realized that they forgot my dipping sauces as well and she made me the wrong salad entirely. Wrong dressing too. The large pizza that I had ordered was cold and dry. I'm hoping that I don't get sick. It seemed old. The second pizza was good. But both pizzas were cut into really narrow slices and they weren't cut all he way through. It's weird. She was nice and all but too many things were wrong with this order. Normally, I go to the one on briargate, which is clean, more organized and fast. Read moreThe whole experience felt very unprofessional, didn't ask for address, didn't tell me how long it would take. I had mentioned 3 times that we wanted the wings well done and not soggy which was important because we only ordered wings. Then 40 min of waiting went by and no sign of them so I called to check on the order and he said the driver left 15 min ago(I live 7 min away) The driver showed up an hour from ordering and the wings were soggy. I called the manager and he didnt try to make a customer happy he just told me he did cook it 2 times and I would have to have them cooked 4 times to get wings that are crispy and at that point it would be like jerky. He didn't try to make anything right when he knew that I mentioned my husband won't eat soggy wings when we were ordering it from the beginning. Not a place I will spend my hard earned money at ever again. And I did go to your web site and voiced my experience because it should be known how your customers are...
