At Por Favor Tacos and Tragos, every detail whispers "authenticity" - from the warm, earthy color scheme to the intimate, family-owned atmosphere. My husband and I recently savored a tranquil Saturday night dinner here, free from the din of crowds, with only a handful of other patrons. The tranquility was matched only by the attentiveness of our waiter, Yuriam, whose menu guidance proved spot-on. His suggestions allowed us to discover hidden gems within the restaurant's diverse offerings.
The true pièce de résistance, however, was the culinary experience itself. Each dish burst with vibrancy, as if the flavors had been carefully coaxed from their ingredients. Presentation was meticulous, with every bite a feast for the eyes as much as the palate. Prices, remarkably reasonable, only added to the value proposition.
What struck me most, though, was the evident passion poured into every aspect of Por Favor. This was a family's labor of love, where every detail reflected a deep devotion to the craft. As we relished our meal, I couldn't help but sense the care and dedication that went into crafting each dish, each flavor, each element of the space.
In terms of customer service, Por Favor excels. Yuriam was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely invested in our experience. Orders were fulfilled promptly, and our needs were anticipated with ease.
For those seeking a genuine, high-quality South American dining experience, Por Favor Tacos and Tragos is a hidden gem. Its unique blend of atmosphere, attention to detail, and culinary mastery makes it a must-visit for couples, families, and solo diners alike. With reasonable prices and exceptional service, this local treasure is sure to leave you - like us - already planning...
Read moreI just want to clarify that I went to Por Favor Tacos & Tragos on 6/13/24. Sorry for not taking many pictures we just ate it so fast that we totally spaced it.
My mom had seen many many posts and great reviews about this restaurant on the website Nextdoor, so on Saturday we decided to go and check it out.
The aesthetic of the restaurant kind of reminded me of Vegas with its neon signs, plants all over the walls, and best of all air conditioning.
We were sat immediately at a booth and saw their extensive menu and were immediately excited by all their options especially since they had just opened a few weeks ago.
My dad got three tacos, the pastor, pollo asada, and carne asada. He loved the street taco style and said the pastor was the best pastor he’s ever had. My mom got chicken tings flauta’s which she thought was alright but she LOVED the pastor my dad got and agreed it was the best she’s ever had. I had quesa-birra which was pretty good but I took a bunch home and decided to get a quesadilla with pastor instead which was to die for. We also started with the queso which was fabulous.
I can not recommend the pastor enough! We also got some pickled veggies to go for my grandma which she loved. A quick word of warning we tried their hottest salsa and I think I almost died (I have a decent spice tolerance) but good flavor.
The last thing I want to praise is the service, we had soooooo many questions and our waitress Rosa was so amazing and helped us figure out absolutely everything.
Once again I can not recommend Por Favor Tacos & Tragos enough, I haven’t found what will be my go to meal yet but I’m so excited to try other options while figuring it out. I 100% will be going back and probably sooner...
Read moreWe were staying in the Colorado Springs area, traveling, and wanted a good margarita and Mexican food for dinner. Searching the area, the general consensus seemed to be that there was not much good Mexican in the Colorado Springs area, but then I came across this gem!
We decided to take the 15 minute drive from our hotel to this restaurant in a rather unassuming nice strip mall. I'm so glad we did. This turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. I have had so much bad Mexican food and margaritas elsewhere recently, that this location was a pleasure to find. It far exceeded my expectations.
The hostess was warm and welcoming despite the restaurant being completely full and lively. From there we were warmly welcomed by our server, Mayra, who throughout the meal gave us her full attention, was warm, personable and offered guidance when picking our food. She even guided us to the Margarita tasting that my wife and I both shared (and later ordered a full margarita).
The food was fresh tasting, not too heavy, not too salty, and offered a variety of option for everyone at the table. My children even found new foods that they liked, such as the Elote. The margaritas were not overly sweet, and clearly were made with fresh juices and not pre-made mixes like many other places I have been recently.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was festive, adorned with tasteful Halloween decorations, and while it was full, it didn't feel like we were on top of the other tables.
If you live in the Colorado Springs area, count yourselves lucky to have this as your local spot. If you are traveling, like we were, make sure to stop by here if you are looking for a good Mexican food with a fun atmosphere and...
